HUMILITY LEADS TO WISDOM AND HOLINESS Have you ever knelt Down on your knees And pleaded to God For something-in prayer I get down on my knees Several times each day Sometimes to say thank you And PRAISE GOD Sometimes to PRAY For another human being And sometimes to PLEAD With God For something-I think I need “I pleaded-and the spirit of wisdom CAME TO ME” Wisdom 7:7 Pleading-kind of means-SURRENDERING- And we are told In today's world That we are To be in CONTROL And that we are NOT to Surrender to anything I beg to differ It is ONLY when I got down on my knees And SURRENDERED myself and my life To God That my life BEGAN to make any sense to me It was ONLY At the end of myself And the beginning of God That life began To make any sense to me “The fear of the Lord Is the beginning of WISDOM ALL who follow His precepts Have good understanding To him Belongs eternal praise” Psalm 111:10 “When pride comes Then comes disgrace But with humility COMES WISDOM” Proverbs 11:2 I mean Which of us Doesn't like to be in charge Which of us Doesn't like to be in control Of our own lives It takes a lot of FAITH It takes a lot of TRUST And it takes a lot of HUMILITY To turn our lives OVER to God “Do nothing Out of selfish ambition Or vain conceit Rather-IN HUMILITY- Value others ABOVE yourselves NOT looking To your own interests But each of you To the interests of others” Philippians 2:2-4 We have to move BEYOND-our own selfish interests And we have to Let go of our own ego By losing ourselves We find guidance Through HOLY WISDOM and the Holy Spirit Which leads to HOLINESS “Make every effort To live in peace with everyone And try to be HOLY Without holiness NO ONE will see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14 How about that So some questions remain: Are you ready To PLEAD for humility and HOLY WISDOM? Are we ready To give up CONTROL Of our life And hand ourselves over to God And his HOLY WISDOM and HOLY SPIRIT?
