THE ANSWER IS: THE HOLY SPIRIT Often times-we pray For particular things In this life And it seems Often times-the answer Is no WHY does this happen And why do we Sometimes feel Let down by God Let down by Jesus (Jesus said to his disciples,) “If you then Who are wicked KNOW how to give good gifts To your children How much more Will the Father in heaven GIVE the HOLY SPIRIT To those who ask him” Luke 11:13 I have- at times Felt let down by God But as TIME has gone on I have found That there is no greater gift Than LIVING with the HOLY SPIRIT In your mind-soul-and heart And in Galatians 5:22 It tells us-who a person is Who possesses the Holy Spirit “But the fruit of the SPIRIT is, Love-joy-peace-forbearance-kindness- Goodness-gentleness-and self-control Against such things There is no law” Galatians 5:22 I think maybe We got our priorities Out of whack Maybe whatever We are asking for IS the consolation prize And if We are LUCKY ENOUGH to receive The Holy Spirit And begin living with the Holy Spirit Inside of us Maybe that is NO-I know that is The real prize The real thing That is LIVING with God and Jesus Inside of us Through the qualities of the Holy Spirit “Do you know That in a race ALL the runners run But only one Gets the prize” 1 Corinthians 9:24 Maybe you-and maybe I Are the lucky ones Running the race-living Our life So that the prize Of the Holy Spirit Is living INSIDE OF US We are concentrating ON SPIRITUAL REWARDS Not material or earthly awards So much so So that we Are truly PRAYING like Jesus In no matter What we may think we may want We are praying “LOVING FATHER: you know better Your will be done” Dear Lord-we pray YOUR WILL be done-in my life No matter what Please leave me Leave us That one true gift and prize THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Living inside of me/us Robert P.
