COME HOLY SPIRIT........!

COME HOLY SPIRIT........!


2,000 years ago=the apostles
And disciples of Christ were TOGETHER-
ALL in one place


When the SPIRIT came


“Suddenly a sound-
Like the BLOWING of a violent wind
Came from heaven
And FILLED the whole house
Where they were sitting” Acts 2:2


“ALL of them were FILLED
With the HOLY SPIRIT
And began to SPEAK in other tongues
As the Spirit enabled them” Acts 2:4


All of a sudden=these men=
And women could SPEAK the language
Of God
The language of LOVE


And they could be understood


GREAT for them-
But what about us?


For us- it may be
A SLOWER transition
A matter of TURNING our lives
Over to God-
A matter of transition-
A matter=OF BEING TRANSFORMED


COME HOLY SPIRIT=and
Love us=TRANSFORM US=
Into BEING your apostles and disciples
In TODAY'S WORLD


“IF you have taken away
Their breath=they perish
And return to their dust


WHEN you SEND forth
Your spirit-
They are CREATED
And you RENEW
The face of the earth” Psalm 104:29-30


YES Lord=RENEW the face
Of this earth by
TRANSFORMING US=by changing us


Into your apostles of LOVE
Like you did for us=some 2,000 years ago


Transform us through
LITTLE CHANGES-every day
Into your SPIRIT-
To SPEAK the language of your LOVE


YES this psalm REVEALS the mystery
Of HOW our world
Is being transformed


The BREATH of life
Has given us life-and-
KEEPS US ALIVE


God RENEWS this earth
When the SPIRIT is sent
THROUGH our daily living


Come HOLY SPIRIT-transform us-
INDIVIDUALLY=and collectively
Into your spirit


INTO speaking the LANGUAGE OF LOVE


“Do NOT conform
To the pattern of this world


But be TRANSFORMED
By the RENEWING-of your mind


Then you will be able
To test and APPROVE
What God's will is-his GOOD
PLEASING-and perfect will” Romans 12:2


I admit that I don't notice
Or recognize these little changes
In myself-day-by day


Yet I KNOW=I have been CHANGED
By the spirit of God
By the spirit of Jesus


Into a NEW and everlasting
APOSTLE of LOVE &
Apostle of Christ and God


And so today=this day=ABOVE every other day
This day of PENTECOST 2017


I say:
“COME HOLY SPIRIT-FILL
The HEARTS of your FAITHFUL..........!”


And SPREAD the GOSPEL of LOVE=
God-and CHRIST-
ALL OVER THE WORLD
