SUFFERING TRANSFORMS OUR LIVES


When did you FIRST
Find God=it PROBABLY
Has something to do
With SUFFERING in your life


SUFFERING TRANSFORMS our lives=
The CROSS=for Jesus was
A terrible execution


But our Jesus EMBRACED it=to
REDEEM all of us
From our sins


“The STONE
Which the BUILDERS REJECTED
Has become the CORNERSTONE


BY the Lord
This has been done=
It is WONDERFUL
In our eyes” Psalm 118:22-23


What can we BUILD
Our lives upon=if not
The CROSS OF JESUS?


Only by UNITING with Jesus
Can we build something
GOOD=powerful=and ENDURING
With our lives


BUILD on the LIFE of Jesus=
His life is ROCK=and his
Life SUSTAINS our life


“And I tell you
That you are Peter


And on this ROCK
I will BUILD my church


And the gates of HADES
Will not overcome it” Matthew 16:18


“Now I COMMIT you
To God
And to


The WORD of his grace
Which can
BUILD you up


And give you
An INHERITANCE=among all those
Who are sanctified” Acts 20:32


The CROSS itself
Is something all
SENSIBLE people would reject


Saint Peter himself=
TRIED to steer Jesus
AWAY from the cross


But Jesus told him=”get
AWAY from me SATAN”


“Jesus TURNED and said
To Peter=


'Get BEHIND me Satan
You are
A STUMBLING BLOCK
To me


You do NOT
Have in mind
The CONCERNS of God


But merely HUMAN CONCERNS” Matthew 16:23


For Jesus=KNEW=
That his suffering wasn't USELESS
That his suffering
Could transform lives
AND WOULD


God had something else
In mind=in our suffering
He wants to
TRANSFORM OUR LIFE


“But our citizenship
Is in heaven


And we EAGERLY AWAIT
A SAVIOR from there
The LORD Jesus Christ


Who=by the POWER
That enables him
To bring everything
Under his CONTROL


Will TRANSFORM our lowly bodies
So that they
Will be LIKE his GLORIOUS BODY” Philippians 3:20-21


Our suffering=JESUS' suffering
TRANSFORMS our lives


Let us PRAY
That our MERCIFUL GOD=
Can make something WONDERFUL
Out of our
MOST desperate circumstances
