SURRENDERING ALL
SURRENDERING ALL
My Lord and Savior
My HERO-Jesus-SURRENDERED ALL
Surrendered it all
Gave all he had physically
SURRENDERED all emotionally
Surrendered all spiritually
Surrendered so much
Of himself
That he got to the point
That he thought his Father
ABANDONED HIM
“'My God-my God
Why did you abandon me?'
With a loud cry
Jesus died
The army officer
Who was standing there
In front of the cross
Saw how Jesus has died
'This man was really
The SON of God,'
He said” Mark 15:33-38
WHICH brings us all
To the point-
To the question-which is
HOW MUCH
Of each of us
Are we REQUIRED to surrender
SURRENDERING ALL
And the ANSWER is
As much as we can
As much as we are able
To bring us as CLOSE
as we can
To LIVING like Christ
“........you have loosed my bonds” Psalm 116:16
Which is
A bit of a PARADOX
We are required
To at least
Surrender as much
Of our SELF-WILL
That keeps us
From being ourselves
From what God
DESTINED us to be
And who and what
WE are meant to be
WHO is someone
Who shows our humanity IN LOVE
And brings others
To our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
SURRENDERING our lives
Means giving up
CONTROL of our lives
And allowing God
To make us
To CONFORM us
Into what God wants us to be
I don't know
About you
But surrendering my self-will
OR CONTROL
Is NOT my greatest asset
We are in bondage
IF we think
We don't need God
If we think we can CONTROL
Everything in our own lives
“Though we are slaves
OUR God has NOT forsaken us
In our bondage” Ezra 9:9
OUR own attempts
To control things
Makes our lives DYSFUNCTIONAL
(In health-in finances-and in relationships)
Paradoxically
By SURRENDERING CONTROL of our lives
To God
WE BECOME FREE
Dear Lord-WE PRAY
We surrender our control
Of our lives to you
We SURRENDER our bondage and control
Of our SELF-WILL to you
BUILD in me/us
As you did
With your Son-Jesus
An EXAMPLE for all
in order
TO BRING OTHERS TO YOU
