BELIEVING IN THE PROMISES OF GOD


Today we have
The story of TWO PROMISES


ONE is an OLD MAN who scoffs
At first=thought the ANGEL
Was FULL OF IT


And then there was the VIRGIN MARY=
Who responded=
“NOTHING will be impossible
For God” Luke 1:37


“O ROOT of Jesse
Sign of God's LOVE
For all his people


Come to SAVE US
Without delay” Gospel antiphon


God ALWAYS keeps his
PROMISES=and so IF you make one
To him


Or HE has made one to you
Expect them to COME TRUE


CHRISTMAS is coming soon
And it is impossible
To ignore


The SANTAS in the malls-
The trees TOPPED with stars
And the cards and carols=
They all say=
CHRISTMAS IS HERE


But Christ is COMING
BELIEVE that


Believe in the
PROMISES OF GOD


“Then they believed his PROMISES
And sang his praise” Psalm 106:12


“For no matter
How many PROMISES
God has made


They are “YES”
In Christ
And so through him


The “AMEN” is spoken
By us=in the
GLORY OF GOD” 2 Corinthians 1:20


Zechariah didn't believe
He was going to have
A son with Elizabeth


Didn't believe enough
To name him--------”JOHN”


He didn't believe
In THE PROMISE OF GOD


But Mary did=she BELIEVED
She was pregnant
By the HOLY SPIRIT


She believed
In the PROMISES


So WHICH are you=
Are you a BELIEVER
In GOD?
Or are you not?


There is no gray area
There is NO
Mr. IN BETWEEN


Are you the STUBBORN
Old man like Zechariah?


Or are you the
VIRGIN-CHILD Mary
Who always believed?


REMEMBER=Paul's definition
Of LOVE
“Bears all things=
BELIEVES all things=hopes all things=
ENDURES all things”                                         1 Corinthians 13:7


Believe in THE PROMISES of God=
THEY COME TRUE


In the names of Jesus and his ALL-LOVING=everlasting FATHER
