WE REMEMBER


They say
The world is kind to you
On two occasions


At birth
And at death


There was no room
At the inn
Our Lord
Was born in a stable


We remember Lord
We remember


No sooner was he born
Than Joseph and Mary
Had to flee to Egypt
With him


We remember Lord
We remember


His Mother was a virgin
His Father was a carpenter


We remember Lord


At 12 years old
He was lost
And found in the Temple


He replied,
“Did you not know
That I would be
In my Father’s house”


We remember Lord
We remember you


For 30 years he did nothing
Then surrounded himself
With12 men
People hardly anyone would choose


In the end
1 betrayed him
1 denied him
And the rest
All ran away


He died a criminal’s death
Stripped, beaten, and humiliated
Before all


So much
For kindness at birth
So much for kindness
At death


We remember Lord
We remember


He was
The Son of God
His Word
Lives on today

“REMEMBER your creator in the days of your youth-before the days
Of trouble come-And the years approach when you will say-
‘I find no pleasure in them’” Ecclesiastes 12:1


“I thank my God every time I REMEMBER you
In ALL my prayers for all of you-I will always pray with joy
Because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now
Being confident of this-that he who began a GOOD WORK in you
Will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ”
Philippians 1:3-6
