TRUSTING GOD=FOR IT ALL

TRUSTING GOD=FOR IT ALL

There is so much NEGATIVE

In the world right now=

Sometimes=some days

It can be HARD

To see the good

In this world

The Corona virus=the social unrest=

The rioting and the seeming

UNHAPPINESS of everyone

“The angels will go out

And SEPARATE the wicked

From the RIGHTEOUS

And throw them

Into the fiery furnace

Where there will be

Wailing and grinding of teeth” Matthew 13:48-49

Sometimes I wish

I could SNAP MY FINGERS

And wish it all

Would go away

Yes make it all go away INSTANTLY

And with no messy cleanup

YES I wish

I could just snap my fingers

And make

Jesus' angels APPEAR AGAIN

That is NOT

Going to happen=

So I guess

We will

Just have to TRUST GOD

FOR IT ALL

To make it ALL turn

Out just right

TRUSTING GOD=

FOR IT ALL!

“As Jesus and his disciples were on their way

She had a sister called Mary-who sat at the Lord’s feed

Listening to what he said

But Martha was distracted by all the preparations

That had to be made

She came to him and asked,

“Lord-don’t you care that my sister has left me

To do the work by herself

I thought it was the end


God is in my heart


There have been times
With not a penny in my pocket
I didn’t know
Where my next meal was coming from


God is in my soul

And flat on your back
Not able to get up
And heard the words
“Get up-there isn’t anything wrong with you”

And it isn’t any fun

God is my life
Christ is my life

We have all EXPERIENCED
Death in our lives


We have LOST parents=a spouse=
A child=a friend=and MANY other
Members of our FAMILY


Today we CELEBRATE
The feast of Saint
Mary Magdalene


Imagine the SORROW of Mary
Weeping outside the empty grave=
BELIEVING not only


Her master and teacher was DEAD-
But that his body
Was stolen=then she SAW HIM!


“Jesus said to her 'Mary!'” John 20:16


She encounters someone
She thinks is a STRANGER=
UNTIL he calls her
By name


Imagine the TENDERNESS
In that word “MARY”=
Imagine how SHOCKED Mary is=
To HEAR her name


Mary recognizes the Lord
Has CONQUERED death
WITH LOVE


THE LORD LIVES!=
Jesus is ALIVE!


“The world cannot accept him-
Because it neither sees him
Nor knows him=


But you know him
For he LIVES WITH YOU
And will be in you” John 14:17


Mary was in Jesus=
For they LOVED each other
As a friend
LOVES A FRIEND


And Jesus is in us

Who
Who are you
Who am I
To be passing judgment on someone else
In today’s world


Give mercy
Give compassion
Give someone a free pass
Give someone love
God’s love


Look at the story of Daniel
Did you know
That the name Daniel means
“God is my judge”


Daniel goes public
He confesses his sin
And the sins of God’s people


How can Daniel
Be so sure
God will forgive him
Forgive them


Because Daniel knows
That he has the history of God
On his side


Daniel knows
That our God
Is a God of love and compassion
He has rescued his people
Over and over again


God saved
Daniel’s 3 friends
From the blazing furnace
God saved Daniel himself
From the lion’s den


And in Luke 7
We find Jesus saying,
“Do not judge
Or you too will be judged
For in the same way
That you judge others
You will be judged
And with the measure you use
It will
Be measured against you”


Take Daniel as your model
Give mercy---give love

The Father and to JESUS

ENCOURAGES us to find tranquility
By trying to
LESSEN our fears


FINDING PEACE of mind

A DESIRE TO DO GOOD


I have a DESIRE
To DO GOOD every day
Of my life


As I am SURE
You all do too


And it is easy to
BE OVERWHELMED and
IMPRESSED with so many
Of you=
And what you ACTUALLY DO
With your lives


“Learn to do GOOD” Isaiah 1:17


I have been around people
Who GIVE so much
Of themselves UNSELFISHLY=
I see so much KINDNESS
In some of you


And so much KINDNESS
When it is easy
To hold a grudge


A DESIRE TO DO GOOD=
I see so much goodness
In some people


The CARETAKERS of the family members
Who give so much
Of themselves=
So much ENDLESSLY


The endless PATIENCE
Of a MOTHER who
Has a child with a handicap


The counter clerks and workers
(health care workers=and first responders)
Who take so much ABUSE
When it is UNWARRANTED


SO MUCH GOOD
In people
EVEN in these trying times


A desire to DO GOOD
A desire to BE GOOD


“He replied=
'You are talking
Like a foolish woman=
Shall we accept
GOOD from God
And not trouble?'


In all this
Job did not sin
In what he said” Job 2:10


“Trust in the Lord
AND DO GOOD
Dwell in the land
And enjoy safe pasture” Psalm 37:3


“A cheerful heart
IS GOOD MEDICINE
But a crushed spirit
Dries up the bones” Proverbs 17:22


These times
Are crying out for GOOD PEOPLE=
These times
Are crying out
For people
And their DESIRE TO DO GOOD


Keep the FAITH=
I see so much good
In so MANY people=
I see people who
WANT to be NEXT to God


“........For God loves
A cheerful giver


And God is able
To bless you abundantly


So that in all things
At all times-
Having all that you need
You will abound
IN EVERY GOOD WORK” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8


Keep the faith in God
Keep the FAITH IN PEOPLE


The DESIRE to DO GOOD

Is GREATER than you think

Love is
What I live for
Love is
What I do
What could be more important
Than me loving you


Love is
In such short supply
Couldn’t the world use
A little more
Even if it’s in the simple form
Of a “hi”


Couldn’t you use
Someone to love you

Someone to wish you well


I don’t know if you could
But I could sure use someone to love me
I would think it was swell

AN ABUNDANT HARVEST

AN ABUNDANT HARVEST


It is EASY
To be discouraged
In this world
And our country


With everything that is
GOING ON all around us


But beside that-
We should be
Living lives that are
FULL OF HOPE


Our Lord and SAVIOR
Has already come and
He has us
RIGHT in the palm
Of his hand


“But some seed
Fell on rich soil
And PRODUCED FRUIT


A hundred or sixty
Or thirty fold” Matthew 13:8


An ABUNDANT HARVEST
Is coming


From the LORD
If we STICK to the Lord
IN FAITH=
If we-
FOLLOW HIS DIVINE PLAN


The seed that God
Has PLANTED in our hearts
Will yield a DIVINE harvest


“Then he said
To his disciples
'The HARVEST is plentiful
But the workers
Are few


Ask the Lord
Of the HARVEST
To send out workers
Into his HARVEST FIELD” Matthew 9:37-38


“Don't you have a saying=
'It's still four months
Until HARVEST?'


I tell you
Open your eyes
And look at the fields!
They are RIPE FOR HARVEST” John 4:35


MANY are unhappy
With this world-
Right now=
Is the world getting worse?
PROBABLY SO


Many are disappointed
With the CHURCH=
And with their own lives=
And people are UNHAPPY
That God-
Has NOT answered
Their prayers


But we NEED to remain vigilant=
We need to MAINTAIN
Our FAITH in God=and in the LORD


We need to BELIEVE
God knows what he is doing
And he is
Bringing us ALL BACK to him


KEEP the faith-
I believe the Lord
Is setting us up
For an ABUNDANT HARVEST
Where the whole world
Comes back to him


“Let us
Not become weary
In doing good


For at the proper time
We will REAP A HARVEST
If we do NOT GIVE UP” Galatians 6:9


“No discipline
Seems pleasant at the time
But painful


Later on however
It produces a HARVEST
Of righteousness and peace
For those
Who have been trained by it” Hebrews 12:11


Keep the FAITH dear friends
AN ABUNDANT HARVEST=in the Lord
Is coming

By all the things

Ps “Dear friends
Since God so loved us

No one has ever seen God

SAY YES TO GOD

SAY YES TO GOD


Today we read about Isaiah
And FEELING AFRAID=unworthy=
And incapable


The SAME WAY
We all feel=at times
WHEN it comes to GOD


“NO DISCIPLE
Is above his teacher........” Matthew 10:24


Isaiah said YES TO GOD
And he tells us
Of a fantastical VISION of God


Where a mighty throne
Is SURROUNDED by angels=
Where there is a shaking door
And a house
FILLED with smoke


It may seem NATURAL
To shrink down and doubt
But we can still
SAY YES to God= just like Isaiah


God INVITES US
To be INVOLVED=God invites us
To SAY YES
And be a part
Of his life


GOD asks us to be involved
In his life=
All we have to do
Is SHOW UP
And say YES
And FOLLOW HIM


“Surely your goodness
And love
WILL FOLLOW ME
All the days
Of my life


And I will dwell
In the house
Of the LORD forever” Psalm 23:6


“FOLLOW GOD'S EXAMPLE therefore
As dearly loved children” Ephesians 5:1


We follow Jesus
Even though
WE DON'T KNOW
Where it will bring us


That is WHY
We are people of FAITH=
We follow Jesus=even though
We don't know
Where he will take us


Show up=
And SAY YES TO GOD


Jesus REMINDS his disciples
To keep their PERSPECTIVE=
And he reminds us too


He tells us
We have NO REASON
To fear
WHEN we follow him


FAITH=hope and love
In Jesus
OVERCOME any fear


GOD'S love and might
Are GREATER than anything=
We have no reason to fear
SAY YES TO GOD


“Be exalted
In your strength Lord=
We will sing
And praise YOUR MIGHT” Psalm 21:13


“To him
Be honor and MIGHT forever=amen” 1 Timothy 6:16


Dear Lord=we pray to you today=
To help us always to say YES
And follow you


We will FOLLOW YOU FOREVER=
And we will ALWAYS say
Yes to you God and Jesus


In Jesus' name=and in the name of our MIGHTY FATHER=who is FILLED WITH LOVE
