TURN TO GOD
Today Jeremiah is WEEPING
For everywhere he looks
He sees utter destruction=
Dead bodies=starving people=
And sinfulness
But his weeping
Does NOT END in despair=
HE TURNS TO GOD!
“Is it not you alone=
O Lord
Our God to whom
WE LOOK?” Jeremiah 14:22
Maybe we should be
PRAYING that way today
To GOD TOO=
To deliver us from
The CORONA virus
O Lord please DELIVER US
From the forces of evil
As soon as possible
O LORD=please deliver us
“TURN TO ME
And be saved
All you ends
Of the earth
For I am God
And there is no other” Isaiah 45:22
“Say to them
'As surely as I live
Declares the Sovereign Lord
I take no pleasure
In the death
Of the wicked
But rather
That they TURN
From their ways
And live'” Ezekiel 33:11
We too may WEEP
Like Jeremiah
As we watch
The evening news
As we see=the
Suffering and destruction
WHERE do we go?
What do we do
With our PAIN?
Do we despair?
Or do we TURN TO GOD
Like Jeremiah did?
“I am sending you
To them
To open their eyes
And TURN them
From darkness to light
And from
The power of Satan
To God........” Acts 26:18
For if we TURN TO GOD-
TWO things might happen
One=we will be ACKNOWLEDGING
Our need for God
IN THIS WORLD
And two=we might be
HEARING God calling us=
To TURN our tears=to kindness
And love=and HELP someone
IN NEED
O Lord=TURN US
O Lord=deliver us
BRING MORE LOVE
Into our world
This very day
In Jesus' name=and in the name of our ALWAYS LOVING FATHER!
