A LITTLE LESS THAN THE ANGELS




Psalm 8
Is a FAVORITE psalm of mine


Because the psalmist-David
IS almost giddy
At what God has done


CREATING a vast universe
And giving the human race
HONOR-just below God himself


“What is man
That you should be
So mindful of him?


For thou has made him
A LITTLE lower
Than the angels


And has crowned him
With glory and honor” Psalm 8:-4-5


How we can have
Such dignity
How can we be
Just
“A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS”


Sometimes
I feel such shame
For some things
I've done
In my life


Yet you BESTOW honor and dignity
Upon me/Upon us


Do you ever feel
This way
That you are not worthy
To be THAT LOVED


But GOD LOVES US-anyway
Worthy or not
He bestows honor and dignity
Upon us


In fact-HE LOVES us so much
He entered the universe
For us
And conquered death for us


So we can live
FOREVER with him


Being BOTH God and human
He returned
To the Father
Taking us humans
Right with him


So after death
We can live
“FOREVER” in God


We are just
“A LITTLE LESS
THAN THE ANGELS”


And that makes us
SHARERS in the love
Of the life-creating God


And making it
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
To SPREAD God's love
WHEREVER we go
