IT'S OUR JOB TOO

IT'S OUR JOB TOO! 2,000 years ago The crowds of people WERE appealing to Jesus For healing And for his INSPIRING WORDS Jesus' response, “The harvest is plentiful But the laborers are few” Matthew 9:37 And after Jesus was crucified- Resurrected- and ascended Into heaven The job fell to his apostles And disciples of yesteryear You see He commissioned them His disciples To CONTINUE his work To heal the sick To feed the hungry And to INSPIRE the HOPELESS And today Some 2 billion BELIEVERS later The job falls to us HIS modern day disciples and CHRISTIANS Of the 21st century You see- IT'S OUR JOB TOO! “Then Jesus Came to them and said, 'ALL authority In heaven and on earth Has been given to me Therefore go and make disciples Of all nations Baptizing them In the name of the Father And of the son And of the HOLY SPIRIY And teaching them to obey -EVERYTHING-I have commanded you- ALWAYS-to the very end Of the age'” Matthew 28:17-20 You see-we are- ONLY 1/3 of the way there Two out of 6 or 7 billion people That believe in Christ Who is it going to be To go out into the field And BRING believers to Christ To bring in the HARVEST Is it you? Is it me? I HOPE It is all of us In this job together IT'S OUR JOB TOO! “After this The Lord appointed 72 others And sent them 2x2 AHEAD of him To every town And place Where he was About to go He told them, 'The harvest is PLENTIFUL Bu the workers are few Ask the Lord Of the harvest-therefore- To send out workers Into the harvest field” Luke 10:1-2 It's our job too EACH of us individually ALL of us collectively To bring people To God and Christ In our own little corner Of the world By mouth-by word By giving to churches and charities By volunteering By working in a soup kitchen So I ask you to ask yourself One question Am I one of Christ's disciples? IF your answer is yes WORK in the harvest For God and Christ In whatever way that you can IT IS OUR JOB TOO! Robert P.
