OVERLOOKED AND UNSEEN

OVERLOOKED AND UNSEEN


It is EASY to be
OVERLOOKED & UNSEEN
In this world we
LIVE in today


It is a SELFISH WORLD
That we live in=and
EVERYONE is preoccupied
And FOCUSED on their own lives


Do you FEEL overlooked and
UNSEEN in this world?


I have a HUNCH
That that is the way
The woman in TODAY'S gospel
Was feeling
WHEN Jesus found her


“SHE was bent over
And could NOT straighten up
At all


UNTIL Jesus saw her
He CALLED her forward
And said to her


'You are SET FREE
From your infirmity'


Then he PUT his hands
On her=and immediately=
She straightened up
And PRAISED GOD” Luke 13:11-13


Dear Lord=we too=
Are FEELING overlooked and
Unseen in this very
Fast-paced world that
We live in


Dear Lord=sometimes OTHERS overlook us
And sometimes we EVEN overlook
PARTS of our own selves


We KNOW what it is to
BE overlooked and unseen


We ask you to REACH OUT
And TOUCH US=to heal us=
To KNOW US


Just as you did for
The WOMAN in today's gospel
Who was crippled
For 18 years


TOUCH US=know us=we know
You do NOT look past us=
The way that this world does


“She said to herself-'IF
I only touch his cloak-
I will be HEALED'”


“Jesus TURNED and saw her=
'Take heart-daughter'-he said-
'YOUR FAITH has healed you'


And the woman was HEALED
At that moment” Matthew 9:21-22


Dear Lord=we NEED to be SEEN
As we really are


Yet-in a way-we are
FEARFUL of becoming seen


But NOTICE us=speak for us
MAKE us able to
Be seen and touched


And like the woman
In the GOSPEL
WE WILL speak WORDS of PRAISE
For you forever-more


“I will EXTOL the Lord
At all times


His PRAISE-
Will always be on my LIPS” Psalm 34:1


Thank You LORD for SEEING ME
And not overlooking me=and thank you=
For KNOWING MY HEART

HIS MOST HEAVENLY FATHER
