CONVERSION TO GOD

CONVERSION TO GOD

Today we read about
ONE of the most
Radical CONVERSIONS
In the history
Of MANKIND

Saul makes a U-TURN
From persecuting Christians
To becoming ONE OF THEM

“He fell to the ground
And heard a VOICE
Saying to him

'Saul-Saul
Why are you persecuting me?'” Acts 9:4

HOW did it happen?
Saul was knocked to
The ground=
And LOST control
Of his life

Then he ENCOUNTERED Jesus
And spoke to him
As he was
NEVER the same=
He was IN LOVE
With the RISEN CHRIST

CONVERTED TO GOD=
He was a changed man

“The Lord has sworn
And will NOT CHANGE
His mind” Psalm 110:4

“I the Lord
DO NOT CHANGE” Mal 3:6

“Listen-I tell
You a mystery

'We will not all sleep
But we will
All be CHANGED--------

In a flash
In the twinkling
Of an eye
At the last trumpet'” 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Saul was blinded
And had to RELY
On the KINDNESS
Of the very people
He was persecuting

And finally
Saul RECEIVED the GIFT
Of the HOLY SPIRIT-
Like we all do

We are CHANGED=we
All become
CONVERTED TO GOD
When we need him
AT LEAST I DID

We EXPERIENCE our vulnerability
In a significant way=
As we TURN to God
And Jesus=IN PRAYER

We become DESPERATE
For the need of God

For the Holy Spirit
To keep filling us
With STRENGTH

CONVERTED to God
Through the HOLY SPIRIT

“And you will receive
The gift
Of the HOLY SPIRIT” Acts 2:38

“You however
Are not
In the realm
Of the flesh

But you are
In the realm
Of the SPIRIT

If indeed
The SPIRIT OF GOD
Lives in you” Romans 8:9

We too=like Saul
Will receive
The LOVE and SUPPORT of others

Our conversion
May not be
As DRAMATIC AS SAUL'S

But the Holy Spirit
Will fill us with STRENGTH
Just the same

In Jesus' name=and our CONVERSION to the FATHER
