WAITING STRETCHES US

WAITING STRETCHES US


It seems like we
Have to WAIT
For everything in life


Right now=
We are WAITING
For the Corona virus
To PASS=it has
ALL of our lives
At RISK


And we have to WAIT
For the small inconveniences too=
We have to WAIT at the grocery store=
For gasoline=at the bank=
ALL kinds of waiting
IN THIS LIFE


WAITING STRETCHES US!
“WAIT for the Lord
With courage=
Be stouthearted-
And WAIT for the Lord” Psalm 27:14


But I CAN get
Through the day
With a sense of TRUST=
Because of
What the Lord
DID for us in HOLY WEEK


Because he SACRIFICED for us=
Because he GAVE
His all


WAITING STRETCHES US!
Waiting for the LORD'S GLORY=
This Holy week


“WAIT for the Lord=
Be strong-
And take heart=
And WAIT for the Lord” Psalm 27:14


“For the Lord-
Is a GOD of justice=
Blessed are all
Who WAIT for him” Isaiah 30:18


“On one occasion
When he was eating
With them-
He gave them this command=


'Do not leave Jerusalem
But WAIT for the gift
My Father promised


Which you have heard me
Speak about'” Acts 1:4


The PASSION of Jesus-
And Holy Week=
Reminds us


That WAITING stretches us=
To the limits=
Of our faith=hope=and love


WAITING STRETCHES US
To our limits


Whether it is a
TRYING PERSONAL SITUATION=
Or what is going on
In the world right now=
We come up against
SITUATIONS=where we have NO POWER


In these moments=
The IMAGE of Jesus
On the CROSS


Teaches us
That no matter
How BLEAK things look=
We can overcome them
JESUS PROVED THAT


Waiting stretches us


“........while we WAIT
For the blessed hope--------
The appearing


Of the glory
Of our great God
And Savior=Jesus Christ” Titus 2:13


Yes=WAITING STRETCHES US
But Jesus' TRIUMPH
Reminds us


We can STILL WIN
In any=and every HOPELESS SITUATION


In the names of Jesus=and our ever TRIUMPHANT FATHER!
