THE SIMPLE TRUTH!


From the beginning
Of his MINISTRY=
Jesus always spoke
THE SIMPLE TRUTH


He used parables
In his preaching


They were SIMPLE STORIES
Designed to impart
Moral truths=to teach people
The FAITH=
And to try and bring
People CLOSER TO GOD


They were stories that
Worked well
With an audience


“I have told you this
In figures of speech


The HOUR is COMING
When I no longer
Speak to you
In figures


But I will
Tell you
CLEARLY about the FATHER” John 16:25-26


Jesus always SPOKE
THE SIMPLE TRUTH
To his disciples
And to us


Jesus tells his disciples
That the time is coming
When he will SPEAK
“CLEARLY about the Father”


He will take a more
DIRECT METHOD
In speaking the GOOD NEWS


“I have not spoken
In secret=from somewhere
In a land of darkness


I have not said
To Jacob's descendants
'Seek me in vain-
I, the Lord


SPEAK THE TRUTH=
I declare what is right'” Isaiah 45:19


“But when he
The SPIRIT OF TRUTH comes=


He will guide you
Into all the truth=
He will not
Speak on his own


He will speak
Only what he hears
And he will tell you
What is yet to come” John 16:13


And WHAT KIND of simple truths
Will Jesus speak?


He will tell us
He is
The SON OF GOD


That he came to
Suffer and die
For our sins


And with his death
And RESURRECTION=
We will be given ETERNAL LIFE


He will tell us
That we can OBTAIN GOD'S HELP
Through prayer
And that he will
Always LISTEN


And we will
BECOME like him


“Instead=SPEAKING THE TRUTH
In love=we will grow
To become in every respect


The mature body of him
Who is the head-
That is CHRIST” Ephesians 4:15


Yes Jesus will always
PROMISE us
The SIMPLE TRUTH


He will promise us
A HOME with him
And the Father in heaven


And he will tell us
GOD IS LOVE=and that this LOVE
IS NEVER-ENDING


In Jesus' name=and in the name of our EVER TRUTHFUL FATHER!
