HAPPY TRAILS ROY

NOVEMBER 5th, 2012

HAPPY TRAILS ROY

He was my childhood hero

There was a time

When I only answered

To the name of Roy

He was known

As the singing cowboy

But he was

So much more

He worked

For abused women

He worked

For troubled teens

He worked

For the handicapped

And the chronically ill

He was a man

Of good will

He had

Much heartbreak in his life

Too much

To get into

But when asked

About his faith

He said

I am

Not doing anything

Anyone else

Wouldn’t do

Roy I know

That is not true

But on one thing

We do agree

It’s in the valleys

We learn

How small we are

Happy Trails Roy

“Until we meet again”

Ps Roy Rogers would have been 101 today, were he still alive.

Dale Evans wrote the song-“HAPPY TRAILS.”

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were known as advocates for adoption and were

Founders and operators of many children’s charities.
