IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

 

IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

We often define ourselves-

By what we do=

Teacher=nurse=carpenter=engineer=

And whatever=as well as

How much MONEY we make

We tend to think

The more prestigious title=

The MORE successful the person

We often ACT on our status=

Or our desired status

In this world

We crave accolades=even though

Jesus tells us

We CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS

“You JUSTIFY yourselves=

In the SIGHT of others

But God

Knows your heart

For what is of human esteem

Is an abomination

IN THE SIGHT of God” Luke 16:15

It is NICE to be

Successful in this world=

But what is MORE important

Is who we are

IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

What does God see

In our hearts?

“A thousand years

IN YOUR SIGHT

Are like

A day that

Has just gone by=

Or like a watch

In the night” Psalm 90:4

“For we live

By faith=NOT BY SIGHT

We are confident

I say=and would prefer

To be away from the body

And at home

With the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:7

“Rather it should be

That of your inner self

The unfading beauty

Of a gentle

And quiet heart

Which is of great worth

IN GOD'S SIGHT” 1 Peter 3:4

We can STILL BE

Successful in worldly matters=

But we are much MORE

Than what

We do for a LIVING

Or how much money

We make

We are to act

In a pleasing way

To the SIGHT OF GOD

It is more important

In life=HOW we do it

Than exactly what we do

We need to ACT

In a way that

Is pleasing=to the SIGHT OF GOD

We are to SERVE GOD

And others=with love

“SERVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY

As if you were serving

The Lord=not people

Because you know

That the Lord

Will reward each one=

For whatever good they do” Ephesians 6:7

Dear Lord=you KNOW
OUR HEARTS=please help us

To know our own heart

And live pleasing lives

IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our FOREVER LOVING FATHER
