SPREADING GOD'S WORD OF GLORY!
It is ADVENT=and we are
PREPARING for the Lord-
Who is coming
Today=we as MODERN DAY DISCIPLES=
Must SPREAD the Word of God=
We must spread
The GLORY of God
In today's world
“For when his children see
The work of my hands
In his midst
They shall........
Be in awe of the God
Of Israel” Isaiah 29:23
In today's readings-
Prophecy takes priority
And Isaiah writes a PORTRAIT
Of the Messiah=
While the Gospel=fills in the blanks
Dear Lord-Help us
To stay TRUE to you
And to SPREAD the WORD of God
Like Isaiah and Matthew
SREADING GOD'S WORD
OF GLORY=in this mixed up world=
We pray dear Lord
As your MODERN day apostles and disciples
“But the word of God
Continued to SPREAD
And flourish” Acts 12:24
“In this way
The word of the Lord
SPREAD WIDELY
And grew in power” Acts 19:20
“We sent Timothy
Who is our brother
And co-worker=in God's service
IN SPREADING
The gospel of Christ
To strengthen and encourage
You in your faith
So that no one
Would be unsettled
By these trials” 1 Thessalonians 3:2-3
In today's first reading=
Isaiah sees a blooming “ORCHARD”
As thick as a forest
And promising JOY
For the lowly
Hearing for the deaf=
Sight for the blind=
And HAPPINESS
For all the good people
ISAIAH'S VISION
Is happening 800 years
Before the coming of Christ
Isaiah is SPREADING
God's word of glory
And in MATTHEW'S GOSPEL today=
Jesus HEALS two blind men=
He commands their silence=
But God's WORD has a way
Of COMING OUT
What can we do TODAY
To SPREAD the word of God?
What can we do
To spread GOD'S GLORY?
TESTIFY! TESTIFY! TESTIFY!
Tell of
The GOODNESS OF GOD!
“And they were
Calling to one another=
'Holy-holy-holy
Is the Lord Almighty
The whole earth
Is full of his GLORY'” Isaiah 6:3
ISAIAH spread the word=
Then CAME JESUS!=
And the WORD made flesh
WHAT can we do with
Our humble little lives
TO SPREAD GOD'S WORD OF GLORY?
In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our LIVING -LOVING FATHER!
