OUR NEIGHBOR IS EVERYONE

 

OUR NEIGHBOR=IS EVERYONE!

 

We have the TEN Commandments=in

The Jewish traditions=of Moses=each ONE

Is as important=as ALL the others

 

We just have ONE COMMANDMENT

With Jesus=and it is TO LOVE

LOVE GOD AND OUR NEIGHBOR=but

WHO is our neighbor?

“…….You shall LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR

As yourself”                                                                                                                           Romans 13:9

 

FOR ME=our neighbor is

EVERY PERSON=in this world

You have a CHRISTIAN OBLIGATION

To HELP everyone that you can

 

IF you ever WONDERED=if Jesus

Felt the SAME WAY=just read CHAPTER TEN

Of Saint Luke’s Gospel=about

THE GOOD SAMARITAN

 

That tells you=FOR SURE

Jesus feels the same way

 

A PRIEST ignores=a fallen man

So does the Levite=BUT THE SAMARITAN

WHO=has no obligation to this man

Or to others=stops to HELP=and just LISTEN

To what our Jesus says

 

“WHICH=of these three=do you think

WAS A NEIGHBOR=to the man who

Fell into=the hands of robbers?”

“The EXPERT=in the law replied’=

‘The one who=HAD MERCY=ON HIM’”

“Jesus told him’=’ Go

And do likewise’”                                                                                                                            Luke 10:36-10:38

 

And so according to Jesus=

We must=LOVE ALL OTHERS=and we must

HELP=when we can=and

WE MUST SHOW MERCY

 

This is=OUR CHRISTIAN OBLIGATION

TO HELP=anyone that we can

Our neighbor=INCLUDES EVERYONE

 

“Do not seek revenge=or

Bear a grudge=Against anyone

Among your people=But

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR=as yourself=I am

The Lord”                                                                                                                                 Leviticus 19:18

 

“Do not forsake=Your friend=or

A friend of your family=and do not

 

Go to your relative’s house

When disaster strikes you--------

 

BETTER A NEIGHBOR nearby=than a

Relative far away”                                                                                                              Proverbs 27:10

 

“Love does=no harm=TO A NEIGHBOR

Therefore love is=the

Fulfillment of the law”                                                                                                      Romans 13:10

 

Yes=as a NEIGHBOR=who

Is loving=we MUST=be willing

To love others=and at least be available

TO PRAY FOR THEM

 

We must show MERCY

To one another=when we can

OUR NEIGHBOR IS EVERYONE!

 

IF you can’t help someone=at least

PRAY FOR THEM=that is THE BEST

We can do sometimes

 

“AND PRAY=in the Spirit

On all occasions=with all kinds

OF PRAYERS and requests”                                                                                             Ephesians 3:18

 

Dear brothers and sisters=HELP

When you can=SHOW MERCY

Like the GOOD SAMARITAN=and

Pray for others INCLUSIVELY

YOUR NEIGHBOR/OUR NEIGHBOR/

IS EVERYONE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=FOREVER MERCIFUL

Holy Father God!
