ARE YOU HAPPY FOR THOSE AROUND YOU?

ARE YOU HAPPY FOR THOSE AROUND YOU? Did you ever notice How some people are unhappy And unfilled? How they sometimes dislike Or even destroy those Around them? What makes people like this? What makes people So defensive? “Let us beset the JUST ONE Because he is obnoxious To us ........ To us He is the censure of our thoughts Merely to see him Is a hardship for us........ These were their thoughts But they erred; For their wickedness blinded them And they knew not The hidden COUNSELS of God” Wisdom 2:12, 14, 21-22 I think it is probably us When we see someone That we perceive As more successful than us It implies That we made poor choices And there is something Innately wrong with us NOTHING can be further From the truth We are to be HAPPY Within ourselves- Because we too Have been successful As long as we have done Our very best With what we have To work with “His master replied, 'Well done-good and faithful servant! You have been faithful With a few things I will put you In charge of many things Come and share Your master's HAPPINESS” Matthew 25:21 Are you HAPPY For those around you WHEN they are successful? As CHRISTIANS- We are CALLED to be LOVE is what makes a CHRISTIAN- A Christian And we are called Not only to be happy For our brothers and sisters in Christ But we are also called To ENCOURAGE them On their road to success and happiness “Finally-brothers and sisters-REJOICE! Strive for full restoration ENCOURAGE one another Be of one mind Live in PEACE And the God of love and peace WILL BE WITH YOU” 2 Corinthians 13:11 And so as Christians We are NOT to be blinded By our defensiveness And our jealousy We are to COMPREHEND GOD'S LOVE AND COUNSEL For when we do this And ACKNOWLEDGE our own accomplishments We can FEEL HAPPINESS And fulfillment in ourselves And STILL be happy for another “First seek The COUNSEL of the Lord” 2 Chronicles 18:4 “COUNSEL and sound judgment Are mine I have insight- I have power” Proverbs 8:14 And counsel and sound judgment Are ours too We NEVER need be defensive Or jealous of another's success IF we are content within ourselves And proud of our own efforts Dear Lord-WE PRAY Help us ALWAYS To be HAPPY for our brothers and sister in Christ And be content within ourselves And with out own BEST EFFORTS In Jesus' name Robert P.
