TRUSTING GOD= HE KEEPS HIS COMMITMENTS- HIS WORD-AND HIS PROMISES Have you ever been betrayed By a partner-by a spouse- Or by a friend NOT a very fun feeling Is it? Chances are None of us Will ever be betrayed To the point of death Like Jesus was “Yes-I like a trusting lamb Led to the slaughter Had not realized That they were hatching plots Against me........ But you-O lord of hosts- O just judge Searcher of mind and heart ….....To you I have entrusted my cause! Jeremiah 11:19-20 Often-in today's world- People don't keep their word- Their commitments-and their promises But always-TRUST IN GOD- He always does “How can a young person Stay on the path of purity By living ACCORDING to your WORD” Psalm 119:9 ”EVERY WORD of God Is flawless He is a shield To those who take Refuge in him” Proverbs 30:5 “Take the helmet Of salvation And the sword of the Spirit Which is THE WORD OF GOD” Ephesians 6:17 It happens a lot In our busy world It becomes tough For people to always Keep their commitments For people have Conflicting priorities-sometimes- Even within their own families I am told-EVEN within churches -People can't always keep Their commitments-their words-their promises MOST CHURCHES Are FULL of generosity and hope But we must remember That they are human institutions And not 100% flawless TRUST in the Lord TRUST GOD-He always KEEPS HIS PROMISES “My comfort In my suffering is this: YOUR PROMISE PRESERVES MY LIFE” Psalm 119:50 “I thank God For my life I don't think God wants me to die But if he wants me to LIVE- I will life for my FAMILY-FRIENDS- And all people everywhere” (MY PROMISE when I was 22) THANK YOU Lord for answering MY PRAYER-thank you for HELPING ME Keep my promise TRUST GOD He ALWAYS keeps his commitments He always keeps HIS PROMISES “HOPES placed in mortals Die with them ALL the promise of their power Comes to nothing” Proverbs 11:7 “For no matter How many PROMISES God has made They are “YES” in Christ And through him the “Amen” Is spoken by us To the GLORY OF GOD” 2 Corinthians 1:20 Dear Lord- No matter how many times Commitments and promises have been broken By the people of this world HELP US to strive- To be people of the WORD YOUR WORD-in today's world And help us To keep our commitments And PROMISES-just like you And ALWAYS TRUST In you Lord In your dear name-O Jesus- Amen Robert P.
