GOD IS MY REFUGE
GOD IS MY REFUGE
The Lord OUR GOD
Is my rock-and-
Is my REFUGE
He keeps me going
In times of trouble
It is a tough world
It can be cruel and it
Can be heartless
God is my refuge
He keeps me going
In times of trouble
“BLESSED the men
Whose strength you are!
Their hearts are set upon
The pilgrimage” Psalm 84:6
Our God wants a deep
Long-standing relationship
With me-with you too
He wants this with ALL of us
With each
And everyone of us
Our God is the ONE-
Who CHOOSES US-he chases us down
Until he finds us
Our God is our friend
He LOVES US TOTALLY
If we miss finding
Our REFUGE-the rock of our lives-
We have missed finding
The MEANING of our lives
“The Lord is a refuge
For the oppressed
A STRONGHOLD
In times of trouble” Psalm 9:9
“TURN your ear to me
Come quickly
To my refuge
A strong fortress
To save me” Psalm 31:2
“EVERY WORD of God
Is flawless
He is a SHIELD-to those-
Who take REFUGE in him” Proverbs 30:5
YES-finding a deep personal relationship
With God-is where
We find the MEANING
Of our lives
Yes-like the first pilgrims-
We are on a JOURNEY
And that journey should take us
Into a deeper relationship
With God and one another
That is what gives us-
OUR LIVES MEANING
Yes God is my refuge-
He is my ANCHOR
And he is your anchor too
As we exchange our LOVE
With one another-and with him
“We have this HOPE
As an ANCHOR for the soul-
Firm and secure
It enters the inner sanctuary
Behind the curtain
Where our forerunner-Jesus
Has entered on our behalf
He has become-a high priest
In the order of Melchizedek “ Hebrews 6:19-20
Yes-God is our rock-
GOD IS OUR REFUGE
He is an ever present HOPE
In times of trouble
ALL we really need to do is PRAY-
Pray for each other-
LIFT each other up to God-and-
To Jesus Christ
All we have to do
Is use our GOD-GIVEN abilities
To SERVE one another and him
Dear Lord-Dear God-
YOU ARE my rock-my refuge
We FIND ourselves-we find our MEANING
In your PRESENCE-and IN YOUR LOVE
