GOD IS MY REFUGE

GOD IS MY REFUGE The Lord OUR GOD Is my rock-and- Is my REFUGE He keeps me going In times of trouble It is a tough world It can be cruel and it Can be heartless God is my refuge He keeps me going In times of trouble “BLESSED the men Whose strength you are! Their hearts are set upon The pilgrimage” Psalm 84:6 Our God wants a deep Long-standing relationship With me-with you too He wants this with ALL of us With each And everyone of us Our God is the ONE- Who CHOOSES US-he chases us down Until he finds us Our God is our friend He LOVES US TOTALLY If we miss finding Our REFUGE-the rock of our lives- We have missed finding The MEANING of our lives “The Lord is a refuge For the oppressed A STRONGHOLD In times of trouble” Psalm 9:9 “TURN your ear to me Come quickly To my refuge A strong fortress To save me” Psalm 31:2 “EVERY WORD of God Is flawless He is a SHIELD-to those- Who take REFUGE in him” Proverbs 30:5 YES-finding a deep personal relationship With God-is where We find the MEANING Of our lives Yes-like the first pilgrims- We are on a JOURNEY And that journey should take us Into a deeper relationship With God and one another That is what gives us- OUR LIVES MEANING Yes God is my refuge- He is my ANCHOR And he is your anchor too As we exchange our LOVE With one another-and with him “We have this HOPE As an ANCHOR for the soul- Firm and secure It enters the inner sanctuary Behind the curtain Where our forerunner-Jesus Has entered on our behalf He has become-a high priest In the order of Melchizedek “ Hebrews 6:19-20 Yes-God is our rock- GOD IS OUR REFUGE He is an ever present HOPE In times of trouble ALL we really need to do is PRAY- Pray for each other- LIFT each other up to God-and- To Jesus Christ All we have to do Is use our GOD-GIVEN abilities To SERVE one another and him Dear Lord-Dear God- YOU ARE my rock-my refuge We FIND ourselves-we find our MEANING In your PRESENCE-and IN YOUR LOVE Robert P.
