PERSIST TO THE LORD IN PRAYER
PERSIST TO THE LORD IN PRAYER
REMEMBER when you were a kid
And you asked for something
And your mom or dad said no
And then you ASKED the other parent
And they said no too
But you PERSISTED in your asking
And sooner or later
Mom or dad would say yes
It is the SAME W AY with God
We must persist o the Lord
IN PRAYER
We must PETITION-petition-petition
The Lord in prayer-and IF
It is for our own good
Maybe the Lord will eventually
Come around and say YES
“But as for the seed
That fell on rich soil
They are the ones
Who-when they heard the word
EMBRACE IT
With a generous and good heart
And bear fruit through PERSEVERANCE” Luke 8:15
PERSIST to the Lord
In prayer
PRACTICE makes perfect
WHERE and how much energy
We put into something
Tells us HOW VALUABLE it is
To us
I WANT to love God
With my whole heart
I want to LOVE MY NEIGHBOR
As myself
I want to FORGIVE 70 X 7
I want to LIVE THE BEATITUDES
PERSIST to the Lord
In prayer
How important is it to you
The ABOVE is the most important thing
In the world to me
And living ONE NATION-one world-under God
THE GOD OF LOVE-is just as important
“Not only so-
But we also GLORY in our sufferings
Because we know
That suffering produces perseverance
Perseverance-character
And character-hope
And HOPE does not
Put us to shame
Because GOD'S LOVE
Has been poured out
Into our hearts
Through the Holy Spirit
Who has been given to us” Romans 5:3-5
YES-persist to the God
To the Lord in prayer
And the HOLY SPIRIT
Will pick up your cause
To the Lord
On your behalf
We all start out STRONG
In our commitment to God
In prayer
But sometimes the GOOD feelings fade
Sometimes to LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY
Seems impossible
But in those difficult times
We must persist MORE than ever
In our prayers to God
“ASK and it will be given to you
SEEK and you will find
Knock and the door
Will be opened to you
For everyone who asks-receives
The one who seeks finds
And the one who knocks-
The door will be opened” Matthew 7:7-8
In the end-we PERSIST in our prayers
To God
And just TRUST in God's MERCY
And his faithfulness-like we did with
Our parents WHEN we were children
