THE ASTONISHING MERCY OF GOD! Of all the SUPER POWERS What do you think Would be the worst one? Don't you think it would Have to be TELEPATHY? The ABILITY to read what Is in a person's heart As if it is/or was STAMPED on our forehead IMAGINE seeing everyone's Petty self-righteous feelings NOT to mention our lusts and what We feel we are ENTITLED TO That is what God has= He can read the SECRETS Of our hearts-and our motivations Yet he LOVES US anyway Yet he deals with us With ASTONISHING MERCY And does not judge us “Therefore- Do not make any judgment BEFORE the appointed time Until the Lord comes For he will BRING to light What is hidden in darkness And WILL manifest the motives Of our hearts And then everyone Will receive PRAISE FROM God” 1 Corinthians 4:5 Wouldn't it be better If we treated each other WITH MERCY? The way GOD TREATS US And not hold each other up In judgment The way we do We don't even know What is on another person's hearts What if others could see Our mixed motivations-our impatience- Our selfishness? Nevertheless- Let us treat others with MERCY The WAY God TREATS US Particularly in this The year of MERCY OF GOD THE ASTONISHING MERCY OF GOD Wouldn't it be great IF we could Actually treat each other this way? “Have mercy on me-MY GOD- Have mercy on me For in you-I take refuge I WILL take refuge- In the shadow of your wings UNTIL the disaster Has passed” Psalm 57:1 “We do not make requests Of you Because you are righteous BUT because of your GREAT MERCY” Daniel 9:18 “BLESSED are the MERCIFUL For they will be shown MERCY” Matthew 5:7 Yes telepathy=God has X-RAY VISION Of our hearts- He knows exactly What is in them It is ASTONISHING-sometimes- The cruel-and sad things That comes out Of a person's heart But what is also astonishing-IS: THE ASTONISHING MERCY OF GOD- That God has for us Let us-in THIS YEAR OF MERCY- Have that SAME loving mercy for each other And leave all judgments- To be MADE by our LOVING GOD Robert P.
