For the VOICE of God

Today we CONTINUE with
The story of Elijah=
Who was doing just that


“After the fire
There was
A tiny WHISPERING sound” 1 KINGS 19:12


Elijah's story is a
FAVORITE of mine=and
Of many others


Elijah has been SEARCHING for GOD=
But his FIDELITY has brought him
Nothing but TROUBLE


Now he is RUNNING
For his life


He seeks
Shelter in a cave
And WAITS for him(God)
To show up


He-Elijah-can't find him
In the wind=in the rain=
Or in an earthquake=or fire


FINALLY he COMES in a
TINY WHISPERING SOUND


HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD!




“The VOICE of the Lord
Is over the waters


The God of glory=thunders
The Lord thunders
OVER the mighty waters” Psalm 29:3


“A VOICE of one calling
'In the wilderness
The way for the Lord


Make straight
In the desert
A HIGHWAY for our God'” Isaiah 40:3


“........so that with ONE mind
And ONE VOICE


You may glorify
The GOD and Father
Of our LORD Jesus Christ” Romans 15:6


This GENTLE VOICE of God
Tells Elijah what to
Do next


Go back to WHERE you
Came from=and ANOINT a new KING
And prophet
To be your successor


There are MANY LESSONS
In the STORY
Of Elijah


ONE is that
GOD COMES into our life=
NOT necessarily in dramatic
And extraordinary ways


But in soft=GENTLE=and
ORDINARY ways


“Be completely humble
And GENTLE


Be patient-bearing with
One another IN LOVE” Ephesians 4:2


“........to slander no one
To be peaceable
And considerate


And ALWAYS be GENTLE
Toward everyone” Titus 3:2


The story of Elijah
TEACHES US many lessons


And AMONG them=
IS that it is NOT always easy
To HEAR the WORD OF GOD


But GOD CONSOLES us=
And always gives us DIRECTION
And PURPOSE=all the days
Of our LIVES
