OUR UNSEEN PAIN

OUR UNSEEN PAIN


MANY of us have illnesses
Or PAIN=that you could NEVER TELL
Just by LOOKING at us


For example=I have Crohn's disease
Which has INVOLVED seven abdominal
Operations and DAY after day
Of debilitating PAIN


NOT that I am complaining=
My illness with GOD'S HELP
Has TRANSFORMED me into
A far better person
Than I otherwise would
Have been


And has TRANSFORMED me into=
A MAN OF GOD=and
A man OF HOPE


“For this momentary LIGHT affliction
Is PRODUCING for us
An eternal weight of GLORY=
BEYOND all comparison


As we LOOK
NOT to what is seen
But what is UNSEEN


For what is seen
Is TRANSITORY
But what is UNSEEN
Is ETERNAL” 2 Corinthians 4:17-18


Often times our AFFLICTION
Doesn't feel LIGHT at all
Or MOMENTARY






Our SUFFERING often feels PERMANENT
Like it is
Going to LAST FOREVER


But we FORGET=We
Get so PREOCCUPIED
With our PAIN


That we FORGET
GOD'S ABILITY
To TRANSFORM us


From people of PAIN
To PEOPLE OF GOD
To people of HOPE


“WHY my soul---------
Are you so downcast?
WHY so disturbed
Within me?


PUT your HOPE in God
For I will yet
PRAISE him


My SAVIOR
And my GOD” Psalm 42:5


“For in this HOPE
We were SAVED


But hope that is SEEN
Is NO HOPE at all


Who hopes for
What they ALREADY HAVE?” Romans 8:24


Our unseen pain
TRANSFORMS US
Our unseen pain
PRODUCES the HOPE of God
In us


When we FOCUS on something else
It expands WITHIN US


Let us NOT FOCUS
On our pain
But our ABUNDANCE OF FAITH
In God


“But when you PRAY
Go into your ROOM
And CLOSE the door


And pray to your Father
Who is unseen


Then your FATHER
Who sees what is done
In secret
Will REWARD YOU” Matthew 6:6


BECAUSE of God
And because of JESUS
Our VISION has CHANGED


And our UNSEEN PAIN
And suffering
Produces something VALUABLE in us=
HOPE!


In Jesus' name and the NAME of
His ALL GLORIOUS FATHER!
