TAKING IT TO HEART

TAKING IT TO HEART


There is ONE THING
That is positively TRUE
Of ALL the saints=
And all good
Spiritual people


They take the bible=Scripture=
And all of Jesus' teachings
RIGHT to their heart


TAKING IT TO HEART


“Anyone who denies the Son
Does not have
The Father


And whoever CONFESSES
The Son-
HAS the Father as well” 1 John 2:23


And it was=and is TRUE
Of our saints today=
Saint Basil the Great=and
Saint Gregory Nazianzen


They were friends-contemporaries-
And doctors of the CHURCH


They are great luminaries-
Particularly of the EASTERN CHURCH
And they are CELEBRATED
For the richness
Of their spiritual writing


They ENDURED
Great and immense suffering
In their fighting
Of the Arian heresy


They took the Scriptures
TO THEIR HEART=particularly
John's writing today


And thus=showed us
God is-three in one=
The Father=the Son=and
The HOLY SPIRIT


Taking God=taking the 3-IN ONE
INTO OUR HEARTS


“But if from there
You seek the Lord
Your God


You will find him
If you seek him
With ALL YOUR HEART


And with-
All your soul” Deuteronomy 4:29


“Take delight
In the Lord


And it will give you
The DESIRES OF YOUR HEART” Psalm 37:4


“Above all else
GUARD YOUR HEART
For everything you do
Flows from it” Proverbs 4:23


TAKE the words
Of the Lord
To your heart
Create=a DEEP PERSONAL LOVE


Between you=and Christ=
And the Father
And the words
Of the HOLY SPIRIT=
Who lives
IN YOUR HEART


This Christmas season-
And EARLY in 2020
Let us ASK
The Holy Spirit


To ENRICH our understanding
And RELATIONSHIP with the Father
And the SON


And have a DEEP
PERSONAL LOVE with them


“Now that you
Have purified yourselves
By obeying the truth


So that you
Have sincere love for
Each other


LOVE one another deeply
FROM THE HEART” 1 Peter 1:22


So take the Scriptures seriously=
TAKE THEM TO HEART


And these WORDS
Will be carried over
INTO your own acts
Of charity and SERVEICE
For God


In the names of Jesus=and of the DIVINE LIVING FATHER=and Holy Spirit
