Today we read about=
King Saul=who set out with 3,000 men=
In order to KILL DAVID


But David's men=CORNERED Saul=
Making it easy=
For David to kill King Saul


But David SPARED
Saul's life=
The WAY of God
Is MERCY AND FORGIVENESS


“You have treated me
GENEROUSLY=while I have
Done you harm” 1 Samuel 24:18


David's RESPONSE to Saul=
REMINDS me that
Everyone of us


Has the CAPACITY
To EXTEND mercy and forgiveness=
To those
Who attempt to hurt us


Yet how quickly
We humans=try to
INFLICT PAIN for pain=
Hurt for hurt


When the WAY OF GOD=
Is to extend MERCY
And forgiveness


“Remember Lord-
Your GREAT MERCY and love=
They are from
Of old” Psalm 25:6


“But because of his
Great love for us


GOD=who is rich
IN MERCY
Made us alive
With Christ


Even when-we were dead
In transgressions........” Ephesians 2:4


“Praise be to
The God and Father
Of our Lord Christ Jesus


IN HIS GREAT MERCY
He has given us-
New birth
Into a living hope
Through the resurrection
Of Jesus Christ=
From the dead” 1 Peter 1:3


Jesus gave his LIFE
For us=to redeem us
From all our sins


He LIVED out of mercy=
And FORGIVENESS=
The least
We can do
Is GIVE UP


Some of our petty concerns-
And live-
Out of MERCY and FORGIVENESS


“But who can
Discern their own faults?
FORGIVE my hidden faults” Psalm 19:12


“And when you
Stand praying=
If you hold anything
Against anyone


FORGIVE THEM=
So that your Father in heaven
May FORGIVE you
Your sins” Mark 11:25


So the NEXT TIME
Someone gossips about you=
Or cuts you off in line


TRY living the WAY
Of Jesus=
Try living the way
Of David


Live the WAY OF GOD=
Live the way
Of MERCY AND FORGIVENESS
