A LIFE=PLEASING TO GOD
Are you=living a LIFE
That is PLEASING TO GOD?
I don’t know=
But I am trying=I HOPE
You are trying too
The PROBLEM today
Is that so many of us
DON’T CARE if we are
Or not
We don’t care
ONE WAY=or the other
“Take my yoke upon you
And learn from me
For I am MEEK
AND HUMBLE of heart”
Matthew 11:29
We can LEARN a lot
From our God
And we can learn a lot
From our Jesus
To BE meek and humble
Instead of being #1
In this self-seeking world
Is an achievement IN ITSELF
“The Lord detests
The sacrifice of the wicked
But the prayer
Of the upright
PLEASES HIM”
Proverbs
15:8
Today we read about
The FIRST NATIVE AMERICAN SAINT
Saint Kateri Kekakwitha
She was born in 1656
And LEARNED humility and meekness
IN IMITATION=of our Jesus
That is something
WE SHOULD all be learning
Form our Jesus
“When pride comes
Then comes disgrace
BUT WITH HUMILITY
Comes wisdom”
Proverbs 11:2
“Do nothing out of
Selfish ambition=Or vain conceit
Rather IN HUMILITY
Value others above yourself”
Philippians 2:3
That is what
Our Kateri did
To BECOME A SAINT
That is
What we should BE DOING TOO
LIVING LIVES
THAT ARE PLEASING TO GOD!
Kateri took religious instruction
As a teenager
And became BAPTIZED
At the age of twenty
Kateri’s JOY
Brought hostility and REJECTION
From her tribe
She PLEDGED her life
To Jesus=as a virgin
Forgoing marriage and security
She OPENED HER HEART
To Christ and to others
Her motto was
“LIVING A LIFE=PLEASING TO GOD”
May we all FOLLOW
In her footsteps
And live lives=PLEASING TO GOD!
She died at age 24
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our all loving=ALWAYS
PLEASING Holy Father God!
