“One Mission”
We have one mission
One mission in life
To learn to love God and all others
LORD--why is so difficult
Why is it so hard
Perhaps we don’t want
To love you as much as we say
It’s hard work--to love
When people are being mean and cruel
It’ hard work to keep loving
People who are being rude
One mission
One mission to learn to love
One mission
To learn to forgive
Lord--what makes it so hard
I think it’s just selfishness
It’s just for ourselves
That we want to live
One mission--to live
One mission--to forgive
One mission--to learn to live like God
But it’s just for ourselves That we want to live
Lord--please help us
With our mission
And that is
To learn to live like you
