SHARING OUR HUMANITY!
Today we have=
A story about
BEING A GOOD NEIGHBOR
About who SHARES their HUMANITY
With another
SHARING OUR HUMANITY!
“Which of these three-
In your opinion
WAS NEIGHBOR=to the robber’s victim?’
He answered=
‘The one who treated him
WITH MERCY’
Jesus said to him
‘Go and do likewise’”
Luke 10:36-37
How are you
As a NEIGHBOR?
WHO is a neighbor to you?
I believe=
EVERYONE in this world
IS ONE’S NEIGHBOR
And we should treat them with
Courtesy and respect
SHARING OUR HUNANITY!
“Since the children=
Have flesh and blood
He too=SHARED
IN THEIR HUMANITY=
So that by his death
He might
Break the power
Of death--------that is--------the devil”
Hebrews 2:14
This story=speaks to us
Of overcoming estrangement
It speaks to us
Of being HUMAN
To our brothers and sisters
Of this world
The man stricken=beaten=
And left for dead
As well as=THE SAVING SAMARITAN
Speaks to us
Of the REDEMPTIVE WORK of Jesus
Being human=at all costs
SHARING OUR HUMANITY!
“Peter and the other apostles=replied
‘We must obey God-
Rather than HUMAN BEINGS’”
Acts 5:29
“For prophecy never-
Had its origin=in the HUMAN WILL
But prophecy=though HUMAN
Spoke from God
As they were carried along
By the Holy Spirit” 2
Peter 1:21
Jesus is the PRIME EXAMPLE
Of Sharing his humanity
He is=OUR SAVING VICTIM!
He was stricken
And bound up=for our sake
May we all
BE BETTER NEIGHBORS=to each other
SHARING OUR HUMANITY!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS SHARING=Holy
Father God!
