SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

 

In Isaiah today=

Isiah tells us to

TURN AWAY from evil

And do good

 

But HOW can we do good?

We can do it

ANY number of ways

With=SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

 

“Cease doing evil=

Learn to DO GOOD”                                                                                                       Isaiah 1:16

 

And in Isaiah 17=

He goes a little FURTHER

“Learn to do right-seek justice

DEFEND the oppressed

 

TAKE UP the cause

Of the fatherless=

Plead the case

Of the widow”                                                                                                               Isaiah 1:17

 

WORDS like good and justice

Are so abstract=

So God the Holy Father=Gives some concrete examples

 

Yes set RIGHT

An unfair situation=

Listen to the orphan

And to the widow=we can

ALWAYS do=some

SMALL ACT OF LOVE=for them

 

“It is a sin

To despise one’s neighbor=

 

But blessed is the one

WHO IS KIND=to the needy”                                                                                                  Proverbs 14:21

 

“Love is patient-

LOVE IS KND……..”                                                                                                             1 Corinthians 13:4

 

“BE KIND and compassionate

To one another=forgiving each other

Just as Christ=God=forgave you”                                                                                          Ephesians 4:32

 

Yes God tells us

Be like him

To do

SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

 

We can be a VOICE

For the voiceless=

We can be a HELPER

For the needy=AN ADVOCATE

For someone who is powerless

 

Yes let us=PERFORM

SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

For the needy

 

“And so

As the Holy Spirit says=

‘Today if you=hear his VOICE

Harden not your hearts”                                                                                                     Hebrews 3:7-8

 

Yes=Jesus tells us

SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

Make all the difference

For someone

 

Give them water=give them food=give them

A KIND WORD

In a lost world

 

Have a LISTENING EAR

For the needy=SMALL ACTS OF LOVE!

 

SMALL ACTS OF LOVE

Are extraordinary things=in this world

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name-Of our ALWAYS LOVING=Holy Father God!
