AN OPEN HEART=AND OPEN MIND

 

Did you ever go

To MASS/CHURCH=and have trouble

IDENTIFYING=with the sermon

 

Or worse yet=

Because of an ACCENT

NOT even be able=TO UNDERSTAND

What he or she=was saying

 

It has HAPPENED to me=

Oh too many times

But with=AN OPEN HEART=AND

AN OPEN MIND

We can

Still take something from it

By focusing on the

TEACHINGS OF CHRIST

AN OPEN HEART=AN OPEN MIND

 

“When the sabbath came=

He began to TEACH=in the synagogue

And many who heard him=WERE ASTONISHED”                                                                   Mark 6:2

 

Jesus was BLESSED=

With the gift of PREACHING

With the gift

OF THE WORDS

 

There are MANY who are=

And many who are NOT

But ALL of us=who have AN OPEN HEART

AND OPEN MIND=can still learn

 

“……..for the Lord

Searches EVERY HEART=and understands

 

Every desire=and every thought”                                                                                        1 Chronicles 28:9

 

“He did not discriminate

Between and them=

For he

PURIFIED THEIR HEARTS=by faith”                                                                                   Acts 15:9

 

BEFORE you come down

TOO hard=on this speaker

Ask yourself=IF

You could have done any better

Your own self

 

REMIND YOURSELF=that this person

IS SPEAKING

On behalf of Christ=and try

To take the words=to HEAR

With=AN OPEN HEART=and

AN OPEN MIND

 

“Test me Lord=try me

Examine MY HEART=and MY MIND”                                                                       Psalm 26:2

 

“Do not conform

To the pattern=of this world

 

But be transformed

By the renewing=OF YOUR MIND”                                                                              Romans 12:2

 

Do NOT be too hard

On the PREACHER=

For Jesus himself=experienced this too

At least once

 

WHEN he was speaking

In front of his home town

The people=his FLOCK

WERE NOT OPEN=to the message

 

Remember IT TAKES=

AN OPEN HEART=and

AN OPEN MIND

To receive a message=ANY MESSAGE

That comes directly=or indirectly

Form OUR LORD

 

RECEIVE WHAT IS OFFERED

With an OPEN HEART=and AN OPEN MIND

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of OUR FOREVER SPEAKING=Holy Father God!
