IF IT IS OF GOD
How many of us
Are worried about our legacies
And worried
If we will be remembered
After we are gone
Whether it
Be with our families and children
Whether it
Be in charitable work/causes
Or contributions you have given
I have
Some good news for you
There is
Nothing to worry about
If we are in tune with God
And doing
What we are supposed to be doing
Do you think Christ was worried
The 33 years or so
He walked this earth
“Heaven and earth will pass away
But my words
Will never pass away”
Matthew 24:36
Doesn’t sound like he was too worried to me
He KNEW who he was
“And the WORD OF GOD
Is living and active
Sharper than any double-edged sword
It penetrates
Even to dividing soul and spirit
Joints and marrow
It judges the thoughts and attitudes
Of the heart”
Hebrews 4:12
He KNEW who he was
And if you know him
God’s living---breathing---active word
The words of the spirit
Are alive in you---they LIVE in you
That is your legacy
That---YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD
Lifted up by our God
THE GOD OF THE LIVING
NOT of the dead
“I no longer live
But Christ lives on me” 2
Galatians 20
“And so we know
And rely on the love
God has for us
God is love
Whoever lives in love
Lives in God
And God in him
In this way
Love is made complete among us
So that we will have confidence
On the day of judgment
Because in this world
We are like him”
1 John 4:16-17
That is your legacy
A LEGACY OF LOVE
Passed on to you by the God’s own SON---JESUS CHRIST
Live it---speak it---pass it on to others
CHRIST wasn’t worried
And IF we believe he IS
who he said he was
NEITHER SHOUD WE BE
