POWER UNLEASHED=IN FORGIVENESS

 

Jesus=didn’t only tell us

TO FORGIVE our enemies=he

Actually did it=HE LIVED IT

There is=INCREDIBLE POWER

IN FORGIVENES

POWER UNLEASHED-IN FORGIVENESS!

 

“But I say to you=

‘LOVE YOUR ENEMIES=and pray

For those who persecute you……..’”                                                                                         Matthew 5:44

 

Jesus is=our first

AND BEST EXAMPLE=of forgiveness

IN the middle=of his crucifixion

This is=what he says

 

“Jesus said=

‘Father FORGIVE THEM=for

They do not know=what they are doing’”                                                                     Luke 23:34

 

What POWER=what love=

What forgiveness=Our POWER

IS UNLEASHED=in how we forgive

POWER UNLEASHED=IN FORGIVENESS!

 

FORGIVING OUR ENEMIES=a seemingly

Impossible command=but Jesus did it=IF

We love Jesus=we

Should be DOING IT TOO!

 

“He replied’=

‘Because you have

So little faith=Truly I tell you

 

If you have faith=as

Small as a mustard seed=you

Can say to this mountain’

 

‘Move from here to there=and

It will move’=Nothing

Will be IMPOSSIBLE for you”                                                                                                   Matthew 17:20

 

“Jesus replied’=What is IMPOSSIBLE

With man=is possible with God’”                                                                                                    Luke 18:27

 

POWER UNLEASHED=IN FORGIVENESS

I can give you=TWO more examples=of

Those following Jesus=who forgave=though

There are COUNTLESS OTHERS

 

There was Saint Longinus=the

CENTURION at calvary=who PIERCED Jesus’ side

The story goes=that Longinus was almost BLIND=and

When blood and water=from Jesus’ wound

Fell into his eyes=he was MIRACULOUSLY HEALED

 

Subsequently=he LEFT the army

Became a CHRISTIAN=and was beheaded

FOR HIS FAITH

POWER UNLEASHED=IN FORGIVENESS!

 

Then we have=the story of

THE STONING OF Stephen=who

Became the FIRST CHRISTIAN MARTYR

 

Stephen=Like Jesus=

PRAYED for his enemies=as

He DIED a martyrs’ death

 

“While they were stoning him=Stephen prayed

‘Lord Jesus=receive my spirit’

Then he fell=on his knees=and cried out

 

‘Lord=DO NOT=hold their sin

Against them’=when he had said this

He fell asleep”                                                                                                                                 Acts 7:59-60

POWER UNLEASED=IN FORGIVENESS!

 

Dear Lord=we pray for

THE POWER TO FORGIVE=our enemies

In this world=Just like Jesus=and

Saint Longinus and Saint Stephen=and all

The apostles and Saints that FOLLOWED Jesus

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER FORGIVING Holy Father God!
