(Of our Comfort ZONE)

 

We all have COMFORT ZONES=some place

Where we are SAFE=some place where we=DON’T WORRY

About this subject or that=but OUR LORD

 

Asks us to=STEP ON OUT=He tells us=to reach out to

That demanding place=He tells us=to FORGIVE that

Unforgivable sin=The Lord preaches=AGAPE’ LOVE=love

Your enemies=LOVE that person=you don’t want to love=

STEPPING ON OUT=with the Lord=No task is too difficult

When Jesus is=ON OUR SIDE

“……..the lot=fell to Matthias…….”                                                                                         Acts 1:26

 

Matthias=was CHOSEN=to be the 12^th APOSTLE=to

Jesus Christ=to STEP OUT=of his comfort zone=and to

PREACH IN=the name of the Lord=We don’t know a lot

About his apostolate=but we do KNOW=he was CALLED

By Peter too=”One of those’=he said=’who was in

Our company=while the Lord Jesus=MOVED among us=

From the baptism of John=Until the day=he was taken

From us=should be named=AS A WITNESS with us to

The Resurrection’”                                                                                                                      Acts=1:21-22                      

 

Matthias answered the CALL=of Jesus=How about us?

He STEPPED ON OUT=of his comfort zone=CAN we do it

Too?=Can we BE a 21^st century apostle=for our LORD?=and

Be STEPPING ON OUT=of our comfort zone

 

“Since we live=by the Spirit=let us KEEP IN STEP

With the Spirit=let us NOT become conceited=provoking

And envying each other”                                                                                                          Galatians 5:25-26

 

“In their hearts=humans plan their course=but

The Lord=establishes THEIR STEPS”                                                                             Proverbs 16:9

 

“To this=you were CALLED=because Christ suffered

For you=leaving you an example=that you should follow

IN HIS STEPS”                                                                                                                                1 Peter 2:21

 

A lot of people=want to say=THANK YOU=for the

BLESSINGS they receive=but they don’t want to ANSWER=

The call=from our Holy Father God=and our Jesus=but

Saint Matthias said yes=How about me and you?=Are we

Going to=STEP ON OUT=of our COMFORT ZONE?

 

“Again the Lord CALLED=’Samuel!’=and Samuel

Got up=and went to Eli and said=’Here I am=you

CALLED ME’”                                                                                                                               1 Samuel 3:6

 

“But you are a chosen people=a royal priesthood=

A holy nation=God’s special possession=that you may

 

Declare the praises of him=WHO CALLED YOU=out of

Darkness=into a wonderful light”                                                                                  1 Peter 2:9

 

We DON’T KNOW=a lot about Matthias=but we do KNOW

He trusted in Jesus=the God of LIGHT

 

We do know=he OVERCAME his doubt=and ACCEPTED

His calling=and STEPPED ON OUT=of his comfort zone=

For the Lord=How about us?=Are we going to do it too?=are

WE going to=SPEAK for the Lord=in the 21^st century?

 

So STEP ON OUT=of your comfort zone=in today’s world=

Speak for the Lord=IN LOVE=IN FORGIVENESS=for he was

The living embodiment=of these things=He was=and is

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD=STEPPING ON OUT!=with

Our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
