"YOU are the SALT of the earth-but IF salt loses its taste.....it is NO LONGER good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot"    Matthew  5:13

YOU were BORN to love-but it is a mere fact that there is evil in the world-and IF we let it that will can erode our WILL TO DO GOOD to the point where we say:  "what is the use"

DON'T let that happen-BE SALT and LOVE anyway

IT is a GREAT DAY to be ALIVE in GOD'S LOVE for us-and a GREAT day to love others too


Salt and Light

Jesus told us
Your are the salt
Of the earth
You are the Light
Of the world

But what does
It mean
To be salt and light
In today’s world

2000 years ago
Salt was the principle seasoning
That was used to cook
2000 years ago
There was no electricity
So light was a scarcity
And at a premium

So how
Can we
How will we be
Light in today’s world
It can be as simple
As a smile
Or an encouraging word
To someone
Who is having a bad day

Or it can be
To have a listening ear
For someone
Who needs to be heard

It can be as simple
As sending someone
A birthday card or get well card
Or it could be
Visiting a sick neighbor
In the hospital

Maybe we can’t
Change the whole world
As Jesus did
But maybe
Just maybe
We can change someone’s world

Love, forgive, and be kind
I dear say
My friend
That if you do these things
You will be

SALT and LIGHT
In today’s world
