BAD NEWS is ALL around us-all we have to do is watch any television newscast-but to FIND the GOOD NEWS-we must pick up our bibles

DEAR LORD-WE PRAY that many more of us FIND the GOOD NEWS today

IT is a GREAT DAY to be ALIVE in God's love for us and to READ the GOOD NEWS

THE GOOD NEWS


In an Anne Murray song
Some 30 years ago or so
Ann sang,
“We sure could use
A little good news today”


Do you ever feel that way
That you could use a little good news
TODAY


I know that I do


In Mark I Mark 14 & 15
After John was arrested
Jesus said,
“The time has come
The Kingdom of God is near
Repent and believe the good news”


In this hopeless world
That we live in


I think that that is good news
That God is as near
As our hearts
As alive---as we let him be
Within us


“Taste and see
That the Lord is good
Blessed is the man
Who takes refuge in him” Psalm 34:8


The good news
Is that God is alive
In today’s world
Living inside of his believers
Inside of those
Who choose to live by LOVE
And the values of God


“Trust in the Lord
And do good
Dwell in the land
And enjoy safe pasture


Delight yourself in the Lord
And he will give you
The desire of your heart” Psalm 33:3-4


We sure could use
A little good news today


“Come follow Me” Mark 1:17


So the next time
That you watch
The morning or evening news


And you see stories of murder, rape, child abuse,
And Lord knows what else


REMEMBER


You are a CHILD OF GOD
A God that loves each of us individually---
ALL of collectively
With a never-ending---ever-lasting love
An unconditional love
That nothing and NO ONE can take away


The good news is as close
As our own heart
