HELPING US GROW


Jesus wants to HELP US
GROW through life=grow into
CHRISTIANS=who are LIFE SUSTAINING


BOTH for ourselves
And for others


“COME to me........
LEARN from me........” Matthew 11:28-29


Jesus=you WANT us to grow
Into LIFE sustaining Christians=
HOW do you want us
To do it? What do you want
Us to do?


And in TODAY'S GOSPEL=
Jesus gives us the ANSWER
In six small words
“Come to me” and to “Learn from me”


Dear Lord=Please HELP us
GROW into good Christians


“But those
Who HOPE in the Lord
Will RENEW their strength


They will soar
Like eagles
They will run
And NOT grow weary
They will walk


And not be faint” Isaiah 40:31


“And WHY do you worry
About clothes
SEE how the flowers
Of the field grow


They do not labor or spin
Yet I tell you
That not even Solomon
In all his SPLENDOR
Was dressed Like one of these” Matthew 6:28-29


The Lord-
CONTINUES to HELP
Us grow and he GIVES us rest
As we need it


Jesus PROMISES us rest
He WITNESSES how we work
How we treat our FAMILIES


As he ASSURES us we will
GROW in REST and in truth
With him and our brothers
And sisters in Christ


Jesus also tells us
To LEARN from him=which does indeed=
HELP US GROW


We are to be COMPASSIONATE
With others=we are to be UNDERSTANDING=
Yet take a stand=and we are to
PICK up our cross and FOLLOW HIM


All those MORAL PRINCIPLES
We learn from him
By reading his MESSAGE
In the bible=and PRAYING DAILY


“LEARN to do right
Seek justice-
DEFEND the oppressed
Take up the cause
Of the fatherless
Plead the case
Of the widow” Isaiah 1:17


YES TODAY=may our ADVENT HEARTS
Go to Jesus
And LEARN from him


As he continues
In HELPING US GROW


May we learn from him
Then=with a fire
In our belly=and


TAKE THE CHRISTIAN MESSAGE
To the WORLD


In the names of Jesus and ours and HIS MOST LOVING FATHER
