NEGLECTING THE PRINCIPLES
OF MERCY AND JUSTICE FOR OTHERS


WE all have lives
To lead=
Nothing wrong about that


But sometimes we get
So CAUGHT UP in
Our own lives=we fail
To NOTICE


When someone else
Is dealt a RAW HAND=
When LIFE turns its back
On them


Forgetting compassion=
NEGLECTING the principles
Of MERCY AND JUSTICE
For others


It's NOT that we mean to=
Sometimes we ARE so
Caught up in our own lives
We JUST don't notice=when OTHERS
Are dealt that raw hand


“Blind guides=
Who strain out the gnat
And SWALLOW the camel” Matthew 23:24


Have you ever
Accidentally swallowed a gnat?


IF you have=then you
Know how TINY that they are
Compared to a camel


Jesus USES this image
To point out
How easily


We can get caught up
In MINOR MATTERS=especially
If OUR OWN LIVES


And have NEGLECTED to
FEEL MERCY and JUSTICE=for others
Who are really IN NEED


I know we are all GUILTY
Of that at certain times


Feel the MERCY
Feel the JUSTICE
FEEL the compassion
For others


“Have MERCY on me
My GOD
Have MERCY on me


For in you
I take refuge
I WILL take refuge


In the shadow
Of your wings
UNTIL the disaster has passed” Psalm 57:1


“Woe to you
Teachers of the law
And Pharisees---you HYPOCRITES!


You give a tenth
Of your spices=mint=dill
And cumin


But you have NEGLECTED
The more important
Matters of the law--------
JUSTICE=MERCY
And faithfulness


You should have PRACTICED
The latter
Without neglecting
The former” Matthew 23:23


Dear Lord=we LIVE in a
Very fast paced WORLD


Please help us to NEVER
Get so caught up in
Our own lives


That we NEGLECT to reach out
With MERCY AND JUSTICE
To others IN NEED


IN the names of Jesus and OUR
ALL LOVING FATHER
