OUR LORD IS ALWAYS WITH US


BAD NEWS always
Comes with a shortage
Of WORDS


After all=what can
The MESSENGER add
To an UNEXPECTED delivery?


Today Jesus
Gives his disciples
The bad news


“The SON of MAN is going
To be DELIVERED
INTO the hands of men


They will KILL him
And on the THIRD day
He will be RAISED to life” Matthew 17:22-23


Jesus has TRIED
To ALERT his followers
Of his impending death
On a number of occasions


But it always has
Been BEYOND their comprehension


This time=however=
It REGISTERS=
“And they were
OVERWHELMED with grief” Matthew 17:23


Jesus sees them
And tenderly proceeds
To ACCOMPANY them
On their way


Just as he ACCOMPANIES=and
WALKS with us
When we are on
The RECEIVING END
Of the bad news


Our Lord is
ALWAYS WITH US
He always accompanies us
On our way


“All these BLESSINGS
Will come on you


And ACCOMPANY you
If you obey the LORD
Your God........” Deuteronomy 28:2


“And these signs
Will ACCOMPANY those
Who believe


In my name
They will drive out demons
They will speak
In new tongues” Mark 16:17


So when that BAD news comes=
Whether it be in a letter=
A text=a phone call=or
An announcement


OUR Lord is ALWAYS
WITH US


He is with us
When someone dies=
In that bad health diagnosis
Or when we get REJECTED


Our Lord
Always WALKS WITH US


“When you WALK
Your steps will
NOT be hampered


When you run
You will not stumble” Proverbs 4:12


“When Jesus spoke again
To the people=he said=
'I am
The light of the world


Whoever follows me
Will never=WALK in darkness
But will have
The light of life'” John 8:12


So when we get
STUNNED in life
With bad news


Jesus tenderly ACCOMPANIES us
On our way


OUR LORD
IS ALWAYS WITH US
