BE AN EXAMPLE




For us Christians
Jesus Christ
Is the perfect example
Of how we are to live
A perfect life


If we believe in him
If we believe in our Christianity
We have but one mission in our life


And that is
To take something from his very own life
And make it
COME ALIVE in our very own lives


In other words
BE AN EXAMPLE to other Christians
In today’s world


“Do everything
Without complaining or arguing
So that
You may become blameless and pure


CHILDREN OF GOD without fault
In a crooked and depraved generation
In which you shine like stars
In the universe
As you hold out
THE WORD OF LIFE” 2 Philippians: 14 & 15


As Christ
Was our example
Be an example- for others


Be joyful in HOPE
And PATIENT in affliction and in sorrow


These are our crosses
And if
We unite them with Christ’s own sufferings
We can still create a beautiful life
Despite the crosses-that we may carry


Look at JOB
He was an example


“Brothers-as an example of patience
In the face of suffering
Take the prophets
Who spoke
In the name of the Lord


As you know
We consider blessed
Those who have PERSEVERED


You have
Heard of Job’s perseverance
And have seen
What the Lord finally brought about


The Lord is
FULL OF COMPASSION AND MERCY” James 5:10-11


And so dear Lord-we pray
That as Christ was our example


We pray
That we may strengthen our resolve
To do God’s will
And be an example
To others who may be suffering


Teach us
To reach out to you in our needs
And be an example
To others who may be suffering
Just as your Son-Jesus Christ
Is THE EXAMPLE to us


In Jesus’ name we pray

“When he had finished washing their feet-he put on his clothes and returned
To his place-----‘Do you understand what I have done for you,’ he asked them,
‘You call me Teacher and Lord-and rightly so-so that is what I am
Now that I-your Lord and Teacher-have washed your feet-you also should
Wash one another’s feet-I have set an EXAMPLE that you should do
As I have done for you-I tell you the truth-NO servant is greater than his master
NOR is a messenger greater than the one who sent him-now that you know
These things-you will be BLESSED if you do them’”
