BORN TO BE FREE IN GOD


During these Lenten days
It is TIME
To be FREE=free
From all that gets
In the way
Of our RELATIONSHIP with
God and Jesus


Today we read about
Joseph and his brothers
And all that is DRIVING THEM
In their relationship with Joseph


Jealousy=violence=dishonesty=
And unfaithful tendencies


Dear Lord=we PRAY to be
FREE from all of these=and
All that gets in the way
Of our relationship
With God=family=and TRUE friends


“........the rules of the peoples
SET HIM FREE” Psalm 105:20


Yes=we were BORN
To be free in God=
The death and resurrection
Of Jesus
ASSURED us of this


BORN TO BE FREE
IN GOD


“He upholds the
Cause of the oppressed


And gives food
To the hungry
The Lord SETS
PRISONERS FREE” Psalm 146:7


“Then you will know
The TRUTH
And the truth
Will set you FREE” John 8:32


And what sets us free
Is KNOWING
That God loves us=
And went to the CROSS
For us


And we are FREE when=
We keep the commandments=
By LOVING our God
And loving our neighbor


“It is for FREEDOM
That Christ has
SET US FREE


Stand firm-then
And do NOT let yourself
Be burdened again


By a yoke of slavery” Galatians 5:1


We NEED to truly
IMITATE the way of Christ
In life=
And EXTEND ourselves
BEYOND what is comfortable
For us


And even when we do this
We can EXPECT trouble
In life


We will receive and have
To ENDURE
Misunderstanding-criticism-rejection-
Bu hopefully NO
Violent persecution=as
Christ had to endure


We just have to REMAIN
ROOTED in prayer
For freedom's sake
And try to RECONCILE
Our LIVES with God and others


The TRUE meaning of love
In this world


“I will walk about
In FREEDOM
For I have sought out
Your precepts” Psalm 119:45


Yes=my dear brothers and sisters
We were BORN to be
FREE IN GOD
And in CHRIST!


Free from sin=
That is WHY
He REDEEMED US


Yes=In God's name and in Jesus' name=WE ARE FREE AT LAST
