GIVING OUT OF LOVE


This is Lent=
We are all VULNERABLE=
As Jesus was vulnerable
At the end of his LIFE


The CHURCH asks us to embody
Hunger and thirst=in some fashion
During Lent


Just GIVES a little more meaning
To IDENTIFY ourselves with
OUR JESUS


“........Where the forty days-
He was tempted
By the devil


He ate nothing
During those days
And at the END of them
He was HUNGRY” Luke 4:2


And the devil TEMPTED
Jesus three times=which
He withstood


Jesus spent forty days
In the desert=
In physical and spiritual HUNGER
And in real TEMPTATION


We too will face
REAL temptation=these
NEXT 40 days and forty nights
Even though we will
NOT be in the desert
With the devil


Let us CONQUER the devil
Like Jesus=and let us
Do it OUT OF LOVE


Let us GIVE from our hearts
OUT OF LOVE


“Have mercy on me
O God-
According to your UNFAILING LOVE


According to your great compassion
Blot out my transgressions” Psalm 51:1


“Whoever pursues
Righteousness and LOVE


Finds life=prosperity=
And honor” Proverbs 21:21


“But God demonstrates
His own LOVE for us
In this=


While we
Were still sinners
CHRIST died for us” Romans 5:8


EVEN Christ was vulnerable
And TEMPTED during
His life


You can be SURE
We will be
VULNERABLE and TEMPTED too


We can only PRAY
That like Christ
That we will be
UP to the challenge


And let us REMEMBER
That whatever form our
Fasting and vulnerability takes=that


We CONQUER our temptations
With LOVE=
This Lent=let us
DO IT out of love


Let us CONQUER our temptation
By GIVING ourselves to God and each other
OUT OF LOVE


“NO temptation
Has overtaken you
EXCEPT what is common
To mankind


And God is FAITHFUL
He will NOT let you
Be TEMPTED


Beyond what you can bear
But when you are TEMPTED
He will also provide
A way out


So that you can ENDURE IT” 1 Corinthians 10:13


Dear Lord=HELP us
Beat temptation this Lent
By GIVING of ourselves
OUT OF LOVE


BE with us
DURING our temptations
And vulnerabilities


In Jesus' name and in the name of OUR HOLY FATHER!
