FACING OUR HUMANITY


Jesus was=Jesus IS
The FACE OF HUMANITY=
He gave his life
For all of us


He did to others=
He did for others=what he
WISHED OTHERS would have
DONE for him


He took on their sins
He was the
GOLDEN RULE PERSONIFIED


“DO to others
Whatever you would
Have them DO to you


This is the LAW
And the prophets” Matthew 7:12


HUMANITY is a funny thing
Hypocrisy is a FUNNY THING=and
It can be
Downright embarrassing


The very thing
That we criticize others for=
We turn around and
DO IT OURSELVES


But NOT our Jesus=
He was the FACE
OF HUMANITY


But we have to
LOOK OURSELVES in the mirror
We have to
FACE OUR HUMANITY


“His purpose
Was to create in himself
ONE NEW HUMANITY
Out of the two


Thus making peace
And in one body
To reconcile both of them
To GOD=through the cross
By which he put
To death their hostility” Ephesians 2:15-16


“Since the children
Have flesh and blood
He too shared
IN THEIR HUMANITY


So that
By his death
He might break the power
Of him


Who HOLDS the power of death---------
That is the devil---------


And FREE those
Who all their lives
Were held in slavery
By their FEAR OF DEATH” Hebrews 2:14-15


Since Jesus was
BOTH God and man
He could FACE
His own humanity
And CONQUER IT


NOT so for us=
But for us=it
Is a GIFT
Just to NOTICE our humanity


To FACE it=and
To MOVE FORWARD


Yes it is DIFFICULT
To be self-righteous
And hold ourselves ABOVE=
WHEN we are truly
Looking at ourselves in the mirror


We just have to FACE our
Own HUMANITY


“Yet for our sake
We FACE death
All day long


We are considered
As sheep
To be slaughtered” Psalm 44:22


Yes=let us LOOK at ourselves
Let us LAUGH at ourselves=
And GROW IN COMPASSION
For our fellow man


And really and TRULY RECOGNIZE
Who Jesus was=and IS=
THE FACE OF HUMANITY
