FOLLOWING CHRIST!=CALLING THE APOSTLES OF TODAY

FOLLOWING CHRIST!
(CALLING the APOSTLES of TODAY)


Today we read about Peter=
The LEAD FOLLOWER
Of the APOSTLES of yesteryear=
Who gave up everything
TO FOLLOW CHRIST


If we are truly
FOLLOWING Christ=we too
Are giving up everything


“Peter began to say
To Jesus=
'We have GIVEN UP everything
And followed you'” Mark 10:28


Peter was an UNLIKELY HERO=
He always said
The WRONG THING
At the wrong time


Yet him and the OTHER apostles
Gave up everything
To follow Christ


FOLLOWING CHRIST!


Calling ALL the apostles of TODAY
We too=should be WILLING
To give up everything
For God and CHRIST


CALLING the APOSTLES
Of today


“I am talking
To you GENTILES


Inasmuch as I
Am the apostle
To the GENTILES


I take pride
In my MINISTRY
In the hope


That I may somehow AROUSE
My own people
And SAVE some of them” Romans 11:13-14


PAUL was a great apostle=
But so was Peter


Walking the dusty hills and
The MOUNTAINSIDES
Right beside Jesus


He talks back to Jesus=
The way we all FEEL=
When we are angry


I can just HEAR
Peter complaining=
“What more CAN I
Possibly do LORD?”


He says he LOVES
Jesus three times=but he
STILL denies him


Peter was GREAT!=
So was Paul
ALL the apostles were


But what about us?
The APOSTLES of
The 21^st CENTURY


CALLING all modern day APOSTLES=
ALL MODERN day FOLLOWERS


“And now
What are you
WAITING FOR?


Get up=be baptized
And wash your sins away


CALLING on his name” Acts 22:16


“With this in mind
We constantly pray
For you


That our God may make you
Worthy of his CALLING


And that by his power-
He may bring you to fruition
Your every desire
For goodness


And your every deed
Prompted by faith” 2 Thessalonians 1:11


We should expect NO REWARDS
For loving God and Jesus
But like Peter and Paul


And ALL the other APOSTLES
We should FOLLOW
In CHRIST'S FOOTSTEPS=
Living and breathing
LOVE-forgiveness-and KINDNESS


FOLLOWING CHRIST'S CALLING like
APOSTLES OF TODAY!


In Jesus' name and in the name of our ALL LASTING=ever loving FATHER!
