TODAY in the readings=
We read PSALM 9

Our current WORLD SITUATION


“The NATIONS have fallen
Into the pit
They have dug=
Their feet are CAUGHT
In the net
They have hidden” Psalm 9:15


There is LITTLE DOUBT
That we are in TROUBLE=
Both our nation=and the nations
ALL AROUND US


We=all of us=are in an
ETHICAL DILEMMA=not only doing
What is right==but deciding
WHAT IS RIGHT


There are great DIVISIONS among
The people=VALUES deteriorating =and
Our nation is a POLITICAL QUAGMIRE


The news brings more
HORROR stories every day=
Racism=religious intolerance=
And lying and greed
In all
WALKS OF LIFE


We need to DIG OUT
And it starts with each
AND EVERY ONE of us


Making the right decisions
Doing the RIGHT THING
In EACH MOVE=
In EACH ACTION


DOING WHAT IS RIGHT!


“He guides the humble
In what is RIGHT


And teaches them=his way” Psalm 25:9


“For receiving instruction
In prudent behavior


DOING WHAT IS RIGHT
And just and fair” Proverbs 1:3


“Learn to DO RIGHT
Seek justice-
Defend the oppressed


Take up the cause
Of the fatherless
Plead the case
Of the widow” Isaiah 1:17


YES the nations=including
Our nation=seem far
From CONTRIBUTING
To the well-being OF HUMANITY


But the nations are
MADE UP of people=
People like you and me


It is up to EACH OF US
To DO what is right


EACH MOVE=EACH ACTION
Must move us forward
To a just world


We need to make a DIFFERENCE
By the CHOICES that we make
In this world


We need to make decisions
That are CHRIST-LIKE
In this world


It is UP TO US
To DIG this world
Out of this mess


“For I know
Your eagerness to help


And I have been
Boasting about it
To the Macedonians


Telling them
That since last year
You in Achaia
Were ready to give


And your enthusiasm
Has stirred most of them
TO ACTION” 2 Corinthians 9:2


Dear Lord=HELP US to
Work on solutions
In our country and
OUR WORLD


With EACH MOVE AND ACTION
That we take
