EXTENDING MERCY!

EXTENDING MERCY!


Our God is a MERCIFUL GOD!=
He extends MERCY=to us
No matter what we have
Done wrong with our lives


NO MATTER what we
Will ever do wrong with our lives


NOT LIKE US=who can
BE an angry people


“I have reason
To be angry” Jonah 4:9


I think we COME
To our anger NATURALLY=
Just look at a toddler
In the middle of
A temper tantrum=
NOT a pretty sight=
IS IT?


But as adults=
We know better=don't we=
OR DO WE?


FORTUNATELY for us=no matter
What we have done wrong=
No matter what we
Will ever do wrong=
God EXTENDS HIS MERCY to us


EXTENDING MERCY!


“She opens her arms
To the poor
And EXTENDS her hands
To the needy” Proverbs 31:20


“HIS MERCY EXTENDS
To those who fear him


From generation
To generation” Luke 1:50


In the story of Jonah=
Jonah was COUNTING
On the Lord
To punish the people
Of Nineveh


When this didn't happen
Jonah became angry=
He had a meltdown
LIKE we all do at times


Sometimes=our ANGER
Gets the best of us
Jonah sulked=Jonah lashed out
He wanted God
To PUNISH THE PEOPLE


Anger can be BLINDING
Anger can allow us
To SEE RED


Jonah FAILED to see
That GOD'S LOVING MERCY
EXTENDED to the Nineveh people
And also to him


The LOVING MERCY of God
Extends to ALL OF US


“Remember Lord
Your GREAT MERCY and love


For they are
From of old” Psalm 25:6


“........because judgment WITHOUT MERCY
Will be shown
To anyone


Who has not been merciful
MERCY triumphs over judgment!” James 2:13


“Praise be to the God
And Father
Of our Lord Jesus Christ


In his GREAT MERCY
He has given us
New birth
Into a living hope


Through the Resurrection
Of Jesus Christ
From the dead........” 1 Peter 1:3


Dear Lord=help us to LOOK
At life through a
WIDE-ANGLE LENS


And LIVE with MERCY=
To our brothers and sisters
Just like you
