PRAYING AND WAITING FOR THE LORD


When we PRAY to
The Lord=the Lord
Doesn't always answer IMMEDIATELY


Sometimes we have to WAIT
For the Lord to ACT=and
Sometimes it REQUIRES
Some action by us too


“........ask and you
Will receive=seek and you
WILL FIND=knock and
The door will be OPENED
To you” Luke 11:9


Ask=seek=and KNOCK are three
Specific movements of prayer
And sometimes we still
Have to WAIT on the the Lord


Asking is the HEARTFELT WORDS
We utter in PRAYER
Seeking is looking to see
HOW the Lord
Is SHOWING us the answer


But PRAYER is still
WAITING on the Lord
To see how
That he ANSWERS


PRAYER REQUIRES PATIENCE


“WAIT for the Lord
Be strong
And take heart
And WAIT for the LORD” Psalm 27:44


“Yet the Lord
Longs to be gracious to you
Therefore=he will rise up


To show you compassion
For the Lord
Is a God of justice
Blessed are all
Who WAIT FOR HIM” Isaiah 30:18


“........Live self-controlled
Upright and godly lives
In the present age


WHILE WE WAIT
For the blessed hope--------


The appearing of the glory
Of our great God
And Savior Jesus Christ” Titus 2:12-13


We PRAY to the Lord
We WAIT for the Lord
To ACT=or to
Direct our actions


Knocking on God's door
Is a definitive action=but
God wants us to
DO something too


When we pray for PEACE
On earth=
IS there someone=close to us
That we first
Need to forgive?


When we pray for a harvest=
Do we need to look
At OUR OWN spending habits too?


God promises us an answer
To every prayer=but is there
Something we need TO DO TOO?


To become transformed-
Or TRANSFORM our very own lives


God has an ANSWER to
Our prayers= but sometimes
We have to WAIT
And allow HIS PLAN
To work first


“Do not those who
Plot evil=go astray


But those who PLAN
What is GOOD
Find love and faithfulness” Proverbs 14:22


Dear Lord=WE PRAY to you today
And we WAIT your answers
And plans for us


May we BECOME all you
INTEND for us today
