A GRATEFUL HEART

Oh Lord

You who

Have given us

So much

Give us one thing more

The gift

Of a grateful heart

In the Bible

Jesus tells us the story

Of how

He healed the ten lepers

One came back to thank him

What about us

Are we like the one

Or

Are we like the other nine

All we have

In this world

Comes from God

All we are

All we can ever become

Depends on God

What about us

Are we unreal

Are we selfish

Are we proud and arrogant

Dear Lord

Please help us
To always be

Like the one leper

Who

Came back and said thank you

So finally Lord

We pray

You who have

Given us so much

Give us one thing more

The gift

Of a grateful heart
